Original Index Books to Birth, Marriage and Death Registrations - July to December 1869, RG 80-11
There is a very slight chance that the birth registration was not indexed in the computer-generated Indexes to Births and Stillbirths (RG 80-4) . If you have not found the birth listed there check the Original Birth, Marriage, and Death Index for July-December 1869 on MS 938 reel 1 listed below.
The Index is arranged:
- First, by surname initial;
- Second, by the event (ordered by marriages, deaths, then births)
For each entry, this Index will give a
Liber (volume) and
Folio (page) number of the Registration. Once you have this information, proceed to
Registrations of Births and Stillbirths (Listed Geographically).
If the name is not in the computer-generated Indexes to Births and Stillbirths or this hand-written Index, the birth was likely not registered or did not take place in Ontario.
