Index of Jews Resident in Newfoundland According to the Censuses of 1921, 1935 and 1945

Here indexed are all those who identified themselves as Jews by religion, origin or ancestry found living in the outports and cities. The several hundred people who are recorded in these three pre-Confederation censuses came from Russia, England and the United States; many were born on the "Rock". Included are watchmakers, students, tailors and doctors. There are even two members of the US Coast Guard stationed at Twillingate.

The author has included some of the probable descendents of Peter Ezekiel who settled in Harbour Main in the late 1700s. These people are all now followers of various Christian denominations.
