Raymond MILETTE
In loving memory of Raymond MILETTE, 76 years, who passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 25, 2001. Survived by his loving wife Elsie Gaylene (née ESQUIMAUX) MILETTE of Manitoulin Island. Dear stepfather of Karen BOYER of Toronto and Louella WEIR of Leamington. Cherished grandfather of Bonnie and David BOYER and great grandchildren Alissya, Christine, Helena and Harley. Survived by his sisters Simone TRUDEL, Yvonne McCAUSLAND of Copper Cliff and Diane MacWILLIAMS of Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by his parents Wilfrid and Adele MILLETTE. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. At Raymond's request there was no visitation or service. Cremation. Burial of ashes will be in the family plot at the Sudbury Roman Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home, Sudbury.

MILLER, Norman Alexander
In loving memory of Norman Alexander MILLER, 81 years of Sudbury who passed away Thursday morning, January 4th, 2001 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre. He was born in Renfrew and married Dora (PERRAS) in 1945 in Renfrew. Norm came to Sudbury in 1953 from Renfrew. He was a miner at Frood Mine retiring from INCO in 1970 with 28 years service. A Roman Catholic he enjoyed hunting and horseracing. A keen follower of world affairs he was an avid reader who enjoyed sharing his opinions with others. Beloved husband of Dora {PERRAS} MILLER of Sudbury. Loving father of Randy MILLER (wife Odette) of Azilda, Charline MORIN (husband Richard) of Sudbury and Colleen MILLER of Ottawa. Cherished 'Gramps' of Jodie (husband Paul), Larissa (friend Mike), Shawn, Jason and Scott, great grandchildren Amanda, Emily, Megan and Branden. Dear son of Bertram and Sara MILLER predeceased. Dear brother of Johnny, Cecelia, Garfield, Wilfred, Kay, Bertram, Steven, Eileen, and Frank all predeceased. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Funeral Prayers in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel St. Saturday, January 6th, 2001 at 11: 30 am. Cremation at the Parklawn Crematorium.

Abraham (Abe) J. SHAMAS
Peacefully at home on Thursday, June 28, 2001, after a lengthy battle with cancer. Loving husband of Sheila (née CASSON,) a friend and partner of 48 years. Loving father of Tom (wife Dianne,) Doctor Mary SHAMAS and John (wife Shelley), and grandfather of three: Allison, Jamie and Sophia all of Blind River. Predeceased by parents Tom and Sadie SHAMAS and sister Mary CARLSON.
Survived by brothers Fred of Thessalon, Andy (wife Tilly), Alex (wife Doreen) both of London, Nell MAXWELL (husband Ted) of Barrie and Jim of Sudbury. Abe was a lifelong resident of Blind River. He joined the Rotal Canadian Air Force - Royal Air Force in 1941, serving in coastal command in the Caribbean, Atlantic, Baltic and European areas. Abe started business in Blind River in 1946, and established AJ Bus Lines in 1950. Abe's love for his church, his family, Friends and fellow man, for his community and staff are well known. He enjoyed the beauty of nature to its fullest. Abe was always proud to mention the fact that the only reason his company survived and thrived was because he was blessed with the greatest staff a person could be blessed with. Abe served three terms as Deputy Mayor and Councillor of Blind River and was a 55 Year member of Penewobikong Lodge and Past Master. Abe was a 55 year member of Branch 189 of the Royal Canadian Legion, as well as past President and member of the Executive. Abe served as Past President of the Blind River Lions Club and Blind River Curling Club, and as a Director of Algoma Family Services.
Funeral service was held on Saturday, June 30 from St. Saviours Anglican Church, Blind River with Reverend Glen MILLER officiating. Interment in Hillside Cemetery, Blind River.

Suddenly at the London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus, on Saturday, May 5th, 2001, in his 57th year. Wayne CRANSTON of Port Elgin.
Twenty-nine year employee of Ontario Hydro. Dear friend and husband of Sharon JEFFREY of Port Elgin. He is also survived by his mother Norine CRANSTON of Markham, sisters, Jean and her husband Blaine BOSWELL of Pittsburgh, and Beverly and her husband David HILL of Stouffville. He will be missed by Sharon's family, Marilyn and her husband Mike PALMER of Tiverton, and Karen and her husband Todd KENNEDY of McGregor, his nieces and nephews, Scott and Sheryl, Leslie and Karen, Warren, Daisy and Brittany. He was predeceased by his father, Ray CRANSTON, brother, Merlyn and mother-in-law Edna DUCK and by his faithful friend Tasha. Funeral arrangements were conducted by the W. Kent MILROY Port Elgin Chapel with the Reverend Margaret GREENHOW officiating. Interment, Sanctuary Park Cemetery.
