William James MONTGOMERY
Bill MONTGOMERY, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, for the past year and formerly of Spring Bay and Big Lake, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at the age of 84 years. He was born in Campbell Township, son of the late William and Annie {GILCHRIST} MONTGOMERY. Bill had served in the North Pacific for the Canadian Army in WW2. He and Irene had farmed at Big Lake for 42 years, as well as working at sawmills. He enjoyed gardening, reading and reciting poetry, and especially liked to play cards. Dearly loved husband of Irene {NEVILLS} MONTGOMERY. Loving and loved father of Randy MONTGOMERY and his friend Sandy of Oshawa, Ruth and husband Terry SAGLE of Levack, Paul and his wife Lisa of Nairn Centre, Bill MONTGOMERY, wife Lee predeceased, of Barrie and Mary and husband Mario DEPAOLIS of Lively. Proud grandfather of Patricia and her husband Mike PICARD, Mitchell and Kenley and Marina. Predeceased by grand_son Joshua. Dear brother of John MONTGOMERY of Gore Bay and Olive REID of Windsor. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by brothers Neil and Colin and sister Gladys PIERCE. Friends called the Mindemoya United Church after 7: 00 p.m. on Thursday, September 27. The funeral service was held on Friday, September 28, 2001 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Kim GILLILAND officiating. Interment was held in Grimsthorpe Cemetery. Culgin Funeral Home

In loving memory of Lottie (née PYETTE) DOYLE who passed away peacefully at the Elmgrove Living Centre, Toronto on Sunday July 29 2001.
Lottie DOYLE, beloved wife of the late Ed DOYLE.
Dear mother of Sheila MacLEAN and her husband David, and Edna RYDER and her husband Al. Dear grandmother of Stephen, Bryan, Sarah, the late Robert, Patrick, Emily, and Lauren. Survived by sisters Daisy MOORE, Mildred PICKERING, and many other relatives. Friends were received at the Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas St. West, Toronto, Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday August 1, at 1: 30 pm from Holy Family Church, 1372 King St. West, Toronto. Interment St. James Cemetery, Colgan, Ont.
