MONTGOMERY
Bill MONTGOMERY, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, for
the past year and formerly of Spring Bay and Big Lake, died at the
Mindemoya Hospital on Wednesday, September 26, 2001 at the age of 84
years. He was born in Campbell Township,
son of the late William and
Annie
{GILCHRIST}
MONTGOMERY.
Bill had served in the North Pacific
for the Canadian Army in WW2. He and Irene had farmed at Big Lake
for 42 years, as well as working at sawmills. He enjoyed gardening,
reading and reciting poetry, and especially liked to play cards.

Friends called the Mindemoya United Church after 7: 00 p.m. on
Thursday, September 27. The funeral service was held on Friday,
September 28, 2001 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Kim
GILLILAND officiating.
Interment was held in Grimsthorpe Cemetery. Culgin Funeral Home

Family Church, 1372 King St. West, Toronto. Interment St. James Cemetery,
