NOBLE, a resident of Gore Bay and formerly of Elliot Lake and
Silver Water, died at the Manitoulin Lodge on Saturday, July 21, 2001 at the age of 85 years.
He was born in Robinson Township, June 17, 1916,
son of the late Harry and Bertha
{STEELE}
NOBLE.
Alma had served overseas in the armed forces for four years,
with the 'Happy Walkers.' He had worked in fisheries, steel plant and worked
in the bush lumbering. He had a variety of interests, including gardening, crafts,
carpentry, wood lathe and hunting and fishing. Alma's greatest love was his family, and
spending time with them. His love and love of life will be sadly missed but
many memories will be cherished.

held in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on July 25, 2001 with Pastor Lyle Dewar
officiating. Interment in Silver Lake Cemetery.

on Tuesday, June 12, 2001 both in Mindemoya Anglican Church. Reverend Bain
PEEVER officiating, with burial in Mindemoya Cemetery.

Anne worked as a computer operator for CP Rail and was a volunteer at
Scarborough Centenary Hospital for many years. Her greatest joy were her
children, grandchildren, Friends and times spent at her cottage on Lake Manitou.

Sandy McKENZIE, a resident of Sault Ste. Marie, died at the Great
Northern Retirement Home on Friday, September 14, 2001 at the age of
81 years. He was born in Gore Bay,

Sandy had worked at the Gore Bay airport, then
was transferred to the Sault Ste. Marie Airport where he worked until
his retirement in 1977. His greatest pleasure was listening to music,
and he enjoyed a wide variety. In his younger years, he liked to hunt.

CLARK who passed away September 19,
2001 in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 61 years.
Barry was born in Mindemoya to the late Harvey and Myrtle
CLARK. He
was raised in Toronto and Burwash, then moved to Sudbury during his
high school years. He taught in Providence Bay for three years and
then moved to Sault Ste. Marie and continued teaching until
retirement. Barry was known for his fine sense of humour and his
political cartoon sketches which were published in the "Soo This
Week", "Northern Life," and "Business This Week." Barry also belonged
to the Soo Barbershoppers. He will be missed by many.
