and Dorothy MacKenzie both predeceased. Loving step daughter of
Albert Marozas of Levack. Loving sister of Jeanette Lampi of
Sudbury. Dear aunt of Linda Leonnard of Pickering and Darling Lampi
of Toronto. Dear great aunt of Austin and Brooke. Funeral Service in
the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, at Hazel Street, Sudbury on
Tuesday, January 9th, 2001 at 11: 30 a.m. Cremation at the Parklawn
Crematorium. (Friends may call after 10: 30 a.m. Tuesday.)

MacKENZIE Viola Evelyn
Viola Evelyn MacKENZIE passed away peacefully Saturday December 23 2000. She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Donald, three sons, David (Lynn), Paul (Cathy) and James (Laurie), nine grandchildren and one great grandchild. Born Viola MARTELL on January 1, 1928 in Little Current, Manitoulin Island to Joseph Adelard and Nellie MARTELL, she was predeceased by her sister (Joyce) and brothers (Joseph, Donald and Jeffrey). Vi was well known for her love of arts and crafts and opening her house in hospitality to visitors. She was a faithful believer in Jesus and most recently attended the Church of Christ in Beamsville, Ontario. She loved the Lord while here on earth and we know she is resting with Him now. Donations in memory of Vi can be made to either Great Lakes Christian College or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Gordon MacKENZIE CATCHPOLE
In loving memory of Gordon (MacKENZIE) of Nanticoke, at the Norfolk General Hospital on February 23, 2001 at the age of 78 years.
Husband of Barbara {BREDIN} CATCHPOLE of Welland. Dear father and father-in-law of Peter of Idaho, USA, Tim and Bonnie of Welland, Vicky and Ian CATCHPOLE/ PALMER of Royston, British Columbia, Mark and Valery of Toronto, Daniel CATCHPOLE and Martha (MARLEAU) of Ottawa and Susan and Russell JEPSON of Nanticoke.
Gordon will be sadly missed and remembered by his eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Survived by one sister, Betty and husband Desmond CLEMENT of Comox, British Columbia.
Gordon was employee of Nanticoke Generating Station for 17 and half years, was very active in his community and the area. He was a long-time volunteer with the Boy Scouts of Canada and also with the YMCA. He was a strong believer in giving of himself to those who were in need, and will be remembered by all who knew him for his generosity and kindness. Gordon also was fortunate to have a beautiful voice of song and sang at many weddings and functions. His love and talent of boat building gave him many, many hours of pleasure, as he was an avid boater. Mr. CATCHPOLE was at the Thompson Waters Funeral Home, Port Dover, visitation was on Sunday and a Funeral Service will be held by the family at a later date. Cremation has taken place. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be kindly acknowledged by the family and can be done by calling Thompson Waters Funeral Home 1-519-583-1530.

Alexander LYON McKENZIE
In loving memory of Alexander LYON McKENZIE, June 15, 1920-September 14, Sandy McKENZIE, a resident of Sault Ste. Marie, died at the Great Northern Retirement Home on Friday, September 14, 2001 at the age of 81 years. He was born in Gore Bay, son of the late Jack and Evelyn {PURVIS} McKENZIE. Sandy had worked at the Gore Bay airport, then was transferred to the Sault Ste. Marie Airport where he worked until his retirement in 1977. His greatest pleasure was listening to music, and he enjoyed a wide variety. In his younger years, he liked to hunt. Sandy was predeceased by his beloved wife Norine {HARTLEY} McKENZIE. Loving and loved father of Jane HOWARD (husband William George predeceased 1977) of Little Current. Proud grandfather of Vicki and Shawn. Dear brother of Doris (Sis) WHITE/WHYTE (husband Charlie predeceased) of Gore Bay and Ken McKENZIE of Gilford Conn. Predeceased by brother Jack and sisters Sally and Wilda. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home from 10-11 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2001. The funeral services was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Linda White officiating. Cremation to follow.
