Gordon McALLISTER, a resident of Spring Bay, died at the Mindemoya Hospital
on Saturday, June 2, 2001, at the age of 85 years. He was born at
Grimesthorpe,
son of the late Neil and Pearl
{LEWIS}
McALLISTER.
Gordon was very blessed, in the fact he was able to work his entire life at
farming, a job he truly loved. He was also an avid hunter, hunting every year
until this past one, when he was unable to because of this health. He was a
loving husband, father and grandfather, and in return was loved by his family.

CLARK who passed away September 19,
2001 in Sault Ste. Marie at the age of 61 years.
Barry was born in Mindemoya to the late Harvey and Myrtle
CLARK. He
was raised in Toronto and Burwash, then moved to Sudbury during his
high school years. He taught in Providence Bay for three years and
then moved to Sault Ste. Marie and continued teaching until
retirement. Barry was known for his fine sense of humour and his
political cartoon sketches which were published in the "Soo This
Week", "Northern Life," and "Business This Week." Barry also belonged
to the Soo Barbershoppers. He will be missed by many.

Norman J. McLEOD, a resident of the Wikwemikong Nursing Home died at the
Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at the
age of 75 years. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta,
son of the late Reverend

Norman is a veteran of World
War II, serving in the Infantry and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Norman worked at the Experimental Farm in Ottawa, then moved to Sudbury and
relocated to Manitowaning, operating John's Drive-in Restaurant for a few
years. Norm enjoyed classical music, collecting model cars and tinkering
with electronics and small appliances.

his children Grant and wife Connie of Chiliwack, B.C. and Nancy and husband
Kevin of Canmore, Alberta, and sister Meriam

At Norman's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service was
held on Saturday, May 5, 2001 at 2 p.m. at the Manitowaning Chapel Funeral
Home, Manitowaning. A Legion Service was held prior to the memorial service.
