William Robert IRWIN
In loving memory of William Robert IRWIN, February 2, 1907-May 10, 2002.
William IRWIN, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge, and formerly of Barrie Island, died at the Lodge on Friday, May 10, 2002 at the age of 95 years.
He was born at Magnetawan, son of the late William Robert and Georganna {STEWARD/STEWART/STUART} IRWIN. Will had farmed all his life, and in 1971 he and Selena moved to Barrie Island, where they continued farming. Will had been a member of the Agricultural Society, the Parry Sound Potato Club and was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the United Church. Many will remember seeing Will out on the water, fishing or ice fishing in the early morning, and indeed much of the day. He truly enjoyed fishing, and was very knowledgeable in the sport. He will also be remembered by many for giving his catches to people around town and Barrie Island.
He will also be remembered as a quiet, but loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and friend. Will helped family and Friends whenever he could and will be remembered as truly, a gentle man.Beloved husband of Selena Esther {MILLER} IRWIN. Dearly loved father and father-in-law of Donnabelle (husband Walter predeceased) SMYTH of Silver Water,
Reverend Helen and Reverend Donald REID of Medicine Hat, Alta, and Esther and Wally STILLER of Sudbury. Proud grandfather of Shirley Anne (husband Robin), Colleen (husband Eric), Karen (husband Charles), Heather (husband Jason), Tony, Angela and Eric, and great grandchildren Samuel (predeceased), Myriam, Jonathon, Leona, Micah and Sarah. Dear brother of Grace (husband Rev. Al ROBLIN predeceased) of Beaverton, Edith (predeceased by husbands Ted HALL and Stewart ALDERSON) of Huntsville and Jessie, husband Harvey HOGAN of Peterborough and sister-in-law Vera IRWIN of Sundridge and Marion IRWIN of Milton. Predeceased by brothers Elmer and his wife Mary, Victor, Reverend Roy and infant brother Kenneth. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Culgin Funeral Home on Wednesday after 7: 00 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at Lyons Memorial United Church on Thursday, May 16, 2002 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Geraldine BOULD officiating. Then to Trinity United Church, Magnetawan for visitation 10-11 a.m. on Saturday, followed by funeral service at 11 a.m. with Reverend Linda SAFFREY officiating. Interment in Chapman Cemetery.

Jean Viola WILLIAMSON
The WILLIAMSON family announces with sadness the passing of their mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and great-grandmother on Wednesday, May 15, 2002 at Allendale in Milton, Ontario in her 92nd year.
Jean was born on October 14, 1910 on the DEWAR family farm in Carnarvon Twp., daughter of the late William and Harriet {KAY} DEWAR. Predeceased by her husband Russell (May 6, 1974.)
Loving mother of:
DEWAR (predeceased Dec. 6, 1989) and wife Effie of Traverse City, MI, Pat and husband Mike COSTIGAN of Kitchener, Marjorie and husband Dave McLACHLAN of Oakville, Robert and wife Marca of Tehkummah. Cherished grandmother of Robbie and wife Nadine, Janet and husband Brain BESLEY, Michael COSTIGAN and wife Patti HOWARTH, Kathy COSTIGAN and husband Scott MILLER, Lori COSTIGAN, Susan COSTIGAN and husband John MILLER, David and wife Tammy McLACHLAN, Barb and husband Derek TILLY, Allison McLACHLAN. Proud great grandmother of: Julianne COSTIGAN, Taylor and Brenden BESLEY, Ryan and Justin TILLY, Mackenzie and Emma MILLER, Kaitlyn WILLIAMSON, Kelly and Abby McLACHLAN, Nicholas MILLER. Dear sister of: Reginald and Grace DEWAR, Jack and Maud DEWAR, Grenville and Lorna DEWAR (both predeceased,) Marjorie and Cliff VANHORN (both predeceased.) Survived by in-law's Clarice and Jenny WILLIAMSON, Owen and wife Audrie WILLIAMSON and Howard WILLIAMSON. Will be remembered by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held on Monday May 20, 2002 at Mindemoya United Church. Burial in Mindemoya Cemetery. Jean's greatest love was her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She enjoyed spending her summers at their camp, Eagle's Nest on Lake Manitou, playing bridge, knitting, crocheting and gardening.

In loving memory of Harold Edward KARN, peacefully at Mindemoya Hospital on Sunday, May 19, 2002 at the age of 94 years. Survived by sisters Ethel MONROE and Edeleen AGAR, predeceased by all other brothers and sisters: Emmanuel and wife Helen KARN, Carl and wife Marie KARN, Vera and husband Norm BURT, Russell and wife Alieta KARN,
Alvin and wife Dorothy KARN, Floyd KARN. Predeceased by brothers-in-law, Roy MILLER, Will STONE, Bert AGAR, Jack MONROE. Remembered with love by 15 nieces and nephews many great and great great nieces and nephews. Visitation was held on Tuesday, May 21, 2002. Funeral service will be held at 2: 00 pm on Wednesday, May 22, 2002 at Island Funeral Home. Burial in the Cold Springs Cemetery.

Eunice Vivian LEESON
In loving memory of Eunice Vivian LEESON, January 28, 1911 to September 12, 2002.
Eunice LEESON, a resident of Centennial Manor, Little Current, and formerly of Mill Site Apartments, Gore Bay, died at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Thursday, September 12, 2002 at the age of 91 years. She was born in Burpee Township, daughter of the late Archibald and Janet (McPHERSON) AINSLIE. Eunice had been an elementary school teacher. Eunice and Roy had lived at Elizabeth Bay for many years, in the home they had renovated, and is now occupied by Marty and Molly AINSLIE.
Predeceased by her husband Roy LEESON, June 26, 1993. Dear sister of Brenda MILLER of Louisiana, niece Karen FLOYD of St. Catharines, great nephew Jim AINSLIE Jr. and a number of other nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Betty and brothers Ralph (Duncan) and Cleave.
The funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home on Saturday September 14, 2002 with Mr. Erwin THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

Beverly Charles HUCKLE
In loving memory of Beverley Charles HUCKLE, March 23, 1938 - August 12, 2002.
Beverley HUCKLE, a resident of Kagawong, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Monday August 12, 2002 at the age of 64 years. He was born in Blenheim, Ontario son of the late Edward and Mary Marie (DELOOF) HUCKLE. Bev moved to Manitoulin to operate Norm's Resort in Kagawong with his wife Stella 27 years ago. He enjoyed hunting, woodworking and furniture refinishing.
Beloved husband of Stella (HUSSEY) HUCKLE of Kagawong. Dearly loved father of Wayne (Janice) and Cherie HAZLETT (Mike) both of Wallaceburg, and step father of Bonnie FRICK (George) of Edmonton, Steve (Carolee) MILLINER of Chatham, Beth Ann NATAKA (Bob) of Vancouver. Special uncle to Debbie and Leon DIERICKSE of High River AB, and Kathy and Bob THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON of Orillia. Proud grandfather of 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Walter of Appin, Victor of Morpeth and one sister Marie of Fenton, MI and predeceased by one brother Harold in May 2002. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. At Beverley's request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation.
