ELLIS, Ivor H. -- Committed to life and living for almost 91 years. Passed away peacefully in hospital on December 12th, 2002 after two+ years of declining health. Husband to the spirited, resilient and determined Reta-May for 60 years. Father of Joe (Susan) of Calgary, and Michael (Trish) of Toronto who made Ivor a very proud ''Bumpa'' to Trevor and Shannon. Predeceased by siblings Evelyn NAULLS, Bob and Bill. Ivor was many things - keen birder, award winning gardener, lousy golfer, avid fisherman, humourist, widely read, home designer and builder, handy man, artist and creative whiz, claustrophobic, self-deprecating, survivor of Toronto Hydro career, fixture in the old Central Y handball courts... What a guy! Celebrate Ivor's remarkable life, Thursday, December 19th, 2 p.m. at Pine Hills Cemetery, (Birchmount N. of St. Clair), reception to follow. Come ready to share your stories and memories. Ivor embodied so much that makes life worth living; we are all the better for knowing and loving him. In lieu of flowers, donate to your local United Way, then go for a walk, listen to the birds, and revel in your memories of Ivor.
