James Frederick SLACK of Walford passed away at St. Joseph General Hospital in Elliot Lake on Wednesday December 4, 2002 in his 83rd year.
Beloved husband of June (née TRIE) of Walford. Dear son of the late Arthur and Harriet SLACK. Loving father of Laura (Mrs. Conrad CALDWELL) of Woodbridge and Arthur SLACK of Toronto. Stepfather to Kim (Mrs. Todd LECLAIR) and Mike WILSON both of Massey. Will be sadly missed by grandchildren Tyler, Todd, Bruce, Denise, Dillyn, Ryan and Chanelle. Very dear brother of William SLACK of Hamilton, Mrs. Cora BULLOCH of Dundas and the late Bernard SLACK.
A family visitation was held on Friday, December 6 at the Walford Community Hall, Walford and was followed by a Memorial Service with Mr. Gary KESSEL officiating. Interment in the Walford Protestant Cemetery. Arrangements by Bourcier Funeral Home Ltd., Espanola

Beulah (G.SLAGEL) BAILEY
In loving memory of Beulah (G. SLAGEL) BAILEY, January 30, 1915 to September 5, 2002.
Beulah BAILEY, a resident of Garson, died at Extendicare Falconbridge on Thursday, September 5, 2002 at the age of 87 years. She was born in Billings Township, daughter of the late Charles and Retta HARPER) SLAGEL. Beulah was a committed community worker and a member of the Seniors Group in Evansville. She was a housewife and helped her husband Arthur on the farm as well as his trap line. She enjoyed knitting afghans for the children, crafts, making quilts and had a great love for gardening. Beulah was a great wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother to her family and will be sadly missed by all who knew her. Beloved wife of Arthur Bailey (predeceased July 1983). Dearly loved and loving mother of Grace Baxter, husband Hugh, of Sault Ste. Marie, Weldon Bailey, friend Betty Miron, of Evansville and Jean Chisholm, friend Yves Chenier, of Garson. Proud grandmother of David Baxter, wife Carla, Barry Baxter, friend Carolyn, Bonnie, husband Patrick Louveuzo, Helen Jean (predeceased), Joan Bailey, friend Brent Wilson, Joyce, husband Mark Carrick, Arthur Bailey, friend Tanya, Kenneth Bailey, wife Kelly, Marilyn, husband Garry White, Julianne, husband John Horsfall, and Alfred Chisholm, wife Susan, 17 great grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her dear sister Mary Reinguette, and one great-great grandchild. Also survived by a few nieces and nephews. Friends and relatives called the Culgin Funeral Home on Sunday, September 8, 2002. The funeral service was held in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel of the Culgin Funeral Home on Monday, September 9, 2002. Interment was held in the Mills Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Mills Cemetery Fund or Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Culgin Funeral Home.
