Velma A. GRAY/GREY (retired Librarian of New Toronto Secondary School) at Caressant Care, Marmora on Sunday, April 7, 2002 in her 93rd year.
Velma SLOAN beloved wife of the late Alfred GRAY/GREY. Mrs. GRAY/GREY is the much loved aunt of many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her sisters Florence WILSON, Gladys WILLIAMSON, Leona BROWN, Leila LITTLE and Mary FURNIA and brothers William, Reid and Albert SLOAN. Funeral service was held on Thursday, April 11, 2002 at the Norwood and District Funeral Home Ltd., Norwood, Ontario officiated by Reverend Paul PETERS DERRY.

BRENNAN, Helen Meta (CALDBICK) -- At Trillium Villa Nursing Home, Sarnia on Tuesday, November 13, 2002, Helen Meta (CALDBICK) BRENNAN age 94 of Sarnia, formerly of Toronto., Helen was a member of St. Nicholas Anglican Church, Toronto and was very active in the church when she was younger. Loving wife of the late Dr. Lawrence BRENNAN (1973.) Loving mother of her son Bill BRENNAN and his wife Judy of Sarnia, and of her daughter Margaret and her husband Peter STILLE of Toronto. Dear grandmother of Linda and her husband Chris SLOAN, John BRENNAN and his wife and Sarah, Anthony STILLE and his partner Saskia and John STILLE and his wife Gina. Predeceased by brothers Samuel, Joseph, George and Edward and sisters Margaret and Jane. A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Toronto. DOHERTY, Michael C. -- Member of Royal Canadian Legion Branch 129. At Haliburton Hospital, on Friday, November 15, 2002, in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Mary (née SLOAN.) Loving father of William (Beth) of Haliburton, Mark (Laura) of Whitby, Michael (Miriam) of Toronto, and John (Sue) of Haliburton. Fondly remembered by his grandchildren William, Adam, and Robert. Dear brother of Rose DOHERTY of Toronto, Anthony of Streetsville, and Elizabeth FOREST of New Brunswick. Predeceased by brothers Leo, Alphonsus, James, and Joseph, and sisters Helen and Mary. Also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass was held at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church in Haliburton. Interment is at St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Cemetery. SLOAT, Margaret (HARRIS) -- At London on Saturday, November 23, 2002, Mrs. Margaret (HARRIS) SLOAT, in her 79th year. Sadly missed by her husband Clayton. Loving mother of Edward and his wife Janice, and Eric and his wife Audrey. Caring grandmother of Vicki, Mary and Bill. Dear sister of John HARRIS and his wife Violet. Margaret was an angel sent from heaven to bring love and kindness to family, Friends and strangers alike. A celebrated singer and artist, Margaret spent many years performing as a choir soloist and later became a distinguished china-painting instructor. Friends may call on Monday from 7-9 p.m. at the James A. Harris Funeral Home, Richmond Street at St. James, London where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, November 26 at 11: 00 a.m. by Reverend Douglas MacKenzie.
