Elizabeth "Betty"
SMYTH, a resident of Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay,
died at the Lodge on Saturday, June 15, 2002 at the age of 77. She
was born in Scotland, daughter of the late Andrew and Mary
BLACK.
Betty lived in Gore Bay and was employed as clerk at the CO-OP store
for many years. She was a member of the Lyons Memorial United
Church, the Friendship Club and a 50-year member of the Royal
Canadian Legion Branch 514 Gore Bay. She also enjoyed gardening,
reading, baking and camping.

Heather LEIGH and husband Paul of Orangeville. Proud grandmother of

BLACK both of Scotland and
predeceased by two sisters May and Isobel. Also survived by several
nieces and nephews.
Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 18, 2002
from 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted from the Culgin
Funeral Home on Wednesday June 19, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment to
follow in Silver Water Cemetery.
