WITTY
In loving memory of William Grant
WITTY,
January 29, 1922-June 1, 2002.
Grant Witty, a resident of the Manitoulin Lodge and formerly of
Gordon Township, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Saturday, June 1,
2002 at the age of 80 years. He was born in Gordon Township, son of
the late Thomas and Flora
(SCOTT)
WITTY.
Grant was a veteran of WW2,
and had served overseas. When he returned from the war, he worked in
a steel plant in Sault Ste. Marie, then moved to Mills Twp. where he
farmed until moving to Gordon Twp, and then sold monuments. He
continued to sell monuments until 1988 when his son Bruce took over
the business. He had many hobbies including hunting and especially
fishing. He enjoyed carpentry work, and was a "handyman" who could
fix anything. He was a dedicated and faithful member of Br.514 Royal
Canadian Legion, Gore Bay. Grant was a loving husband, father and
grandfather. He will be sadly missed, but his memory will be
cherished and his legacy will be carried on by his children, whom he
instilled a love of life.

Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home on Sunday June 2, 2002. The
funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Monday
June 3, 2002 with Mr. Les
CRAMP officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

WITTY,
August 9, 1908 to October 31, 2002.
Willard WITTY, a resident of R.R#1 Evansville, passed away at the
Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, October 31, 2002 at the age of 94 years.
He was born in Burpee Township
son of the late Thomas and Flora
(SCOTT)
WITTY.
Willard began working on the fishing tugs at the age of 17 and fished all his life until his retirement.
He was a member of the Ontario Commercial Fisherman's Association and the Trapper's
Association. He also enjoyed hunting, trapping. A loving and loved
husband, father, and friend, he will be sadly missed, but many memories will be cherished.

Relatives and Friends called the Culgin Funeral Home on Friday
November 1. The funeral service was conducted at the Burpee Mills
Complex, on Saturday, November 2, 2002. Interment in Burpee Mills
Cemetery. If so desired, donations to the Burpee Mills Cemetery fund
or Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary would be appreciated, and may be
arranged through the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay, 705-282-2270
