Julia PHEASANT, a resident of M'Chigeeng passed away at the
Manitoulin Health Centre, Mindemoya on Tuesday September 3, 2002 at
the age of 91 years. Julia was born in M'Chigeeng daughter of the
late Raphael and Henrietta
(BEAUCAGE)
PHEASANT.
Julia worked as a
cook most of her life and returned to M'Chigeeng in 1994. She
enjoyed gardening, bowling and traveling to various parts of Canada
and the United States.

Larry CARR, a former resident of Manitowaning passed away at his home
in Sudbury on Tuesday, June 11, 2002 at the age of 56 years. Larry
was born in Burpee Township

(both predeceased). Larry enjoyed reading, hockey, baseball, a good
game of cards and antique cars. He also was a member of the
Manitowaning Curling Club and an avid curler. Larry worked for Air
Cab in Sudbury for several years.

years, returning in 1972. He served overseas in World War II and was
a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Lively Branch then Little
Current Branch. He was a past chief of the Creighton Volunteer Fire
Department. Frank enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Funeral service was held in the RJ Barnard Chapel, Jackson and
Barnard Funeral Home, 233 Larch St. Sudbury Thursday, September 26,
2002 at 4 p.m. Cremation in the Parklawn Crematorium.

Margaret LEWIS, a resident of Manitoulin Lodge, Gore Bay, died at the Lodge
on Friday, July 19, 2002 at the age of 85.
She was born in Barrie Island, daughter of the late John and Mabel Edith
(GAMBLE)
CALBACK.
Margaret was a housewife and worked on the family farm all her life until she retired to
Gore Bay. She was a member of the Lyons Memorial United Church and was a
long-time volunteer at the Lodge. She also enjoyed knitting and a good game
of cards. Margaret was a social person who enjoyed helping and visiting
many people over the years.

and Philip. (all of Sagamok First Nation). Step father of Johnny
(special Friend Millie), Bernadette, Marjorie, all of Wikwemikong,
Rose Ann (special friend Eddy) of Sudbury, Stanley, Stewart (special
friend Betty) of Sagamok and Sara of Sudbury. Greatly missed by many
nephews, nieces and cousins.
Henry will be greatly missed by 17 step grandchildren whom he
parented over the years, especially Jonathon, Angus, Leslie, Alwyn and Arizona.
Henry enjoyed camping, traveling and visiting family and Friends. He
was a handy man who was always fixing things around the house or
camp. He has a special love for his step grandchildren. Visitation
was held on Tuesday September 10 Buzwah Church. The funeral service
will be held on Thursday, September 12 at 2: 00 p.m. at the Holy Cross
Mission Church in Wikwemikong. Burial in the Wikwemikong Cemetery.

was held Tuesday, October 29, 2002. Interment in the Wikwemikong
Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Lougheed Funeral Home.
