In loving memory of Rita Catherine JOHNSTON (née HANNAH) who passed away Thursday morning, September 5th, 2002 at Sudbury Regional Hospital, Laurentian Site at the age of 78 years.
Beloved wife of Lloyd JOHNSTON predeceased 1983. Loving mother of Joanne (husband Bruce HOFFORD) of Lively, Barry of Naughton, Kim (husband Gerry CHENIER/CHENÉ) of Lively and predeceased by infant daughter Sharon. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren Lori, Shelley, Darren, Melissa and great grand_sons Jacob, Ryan and Liam. Daughter of William MORROW and Hannah (née HEMBRUFF) HANNAH both predeceased. Dear sister of Victoria SELLARS of Scarborough and predeceased by Eleanor WHITE/WHYTE, Joe, Andy, Alberta McMILLAN, Clifford, Glen and Paddy.
Funeral service was held in the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent St. at Hazel Street, Sudbury on Saturday, September 7th, 2002. Internment at the Waters Cemetery, Lively. Donations to the Heart and Soul Campaign (Cancer Services) or to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated.

WATTS, Carl Wilfred -- On Saturday, November 16th, 2002 at the Scarborough General Hospital, in his 67th year. Carl, formerly of Mount Dennis, beloved son of Bessie Kennedy CAIRNS and the late Arthur (Chum) WATTS. Father of Judy, Susan, the late Danny and grandfather of 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Dear brother of Betty SMITH and Dorothy LAROSE, both of Georgetown. Dear step-brother of Vera ENWRIGHT of Lefroy, the late Bill McMILLAN, Joyce ERICSON of Mississauga, Norman CAIRNS of Oshawa and Muriel CAIRNS of Toronto. At Carl's request, there will be no funeral services. Interment Glendale Memorial Gardens, Etobicoke. In memory contributions to a charity of your choice would be appreciated. McMILLAN, Grant Malcolm -- Suddenly at the Milton District Hospital on Friday, November 22, 2002, in his 89th year. Dearly beloved husband of Christina (Britton) and the late Aileen (Clarridge). Loving father of Donna (Tom) MANES and cherished grandfather of Bill (Val), Brad (Diane), Barry (Tracy) and Janis. Great-grandfather of six great-grandchildren. Loved brother of Perle HALL and Don (Catherine) McMILLAN. Dear step-father of Jean and Don MARTIN, Judy and Earl BURT, Marlene FOSTER, Barb and Charles TWISS and Sharon and George HENDERSON. Beloved step-grandfather of fourteen step-grandchildren and four great step-grandchildren. The family will receive Friends at the MacKinnon Family Funeral Home, ''Shoemaker Chapel,'' 55 Mill Street East, Acton, on Sunday, November 24, 2002 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held in the ''Shoemaker Chapel,'' on Monday at 1: 00 p.m. The interment will follow at Nassagaweya Presbyterian Church Cemetery. PURNELL, John Edward -- Founder of Identifab Industries Limited. Peacefully after a courageous battle on Saturday, December 28, 2002, John PURNELL, in his 78th year. Beloved husband of 54 years to Dorothy. Loving father of Judy and her husband Dan HORTON, Jim and his wife Mary and Janice and her husband Rod McMILLAN. Sadly missed by his grandchildren Leanne, Laura, Daniel (Chappy), Kathleen (Kate), Kristian, Robert and the late James (Jimmy). Dear brother of Sharon and her husband Tony FELICE and the late Eileen PURNELL. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and Friends. You will live on in our hearts always. Family and Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston, from Monday, 2-4 and 7-9. Complete service in the Chapel on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Cremation. Private interment in the family plot at Sanctuary Park Cemetery. LEWIS, Richard George -- June 25, 1940 - December 25, 2002. Retired Employee of North York Board of Education. On Christmas Day a Hand that bore the imprint of a nail reached down to end the suffering of our brother and carry him to his eternal rest. Richard George was the beloved son of Richard and Marjory LEWIS (both predeceased). Loved and devoted brother to sisters Marjory (Mrs. M. PATTERSON), Toronto, Anne (Mrs. M. WEBBER), Nova Scotia, Lois (Mrs. D. FRENCH,) Grimsby, Ontario, and brothers Bill and George, both of Nova Scotia. Predeceased by Irene. No visitation. Cremation. A Memorial Service to honour and celebrate Richard's life will be announced at a later date. Special gratitude to Jim and Betty McMILLEN, Bill MATHIESON and Tom and Betty GORMAN. In memory of Richard, please do a kindness for someone in his name.
