Passed away at the General and Marine Hospital, in Collingwood, on Thursday, May 2, 2002. Don MIRRLEES, beloved husband of the late Dorothy MIRRLEES. Dear father of Sharon, (Mrs. Eric PADDISON,) of Collingwood. Lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Carol McNABB, Colleen MINOR and Scott JELLY and 5 great grandchildren. Dear brother of Isobel YOUNG, of Collingwood, Judy CHARTRAND, of Collingwood and the late Anna MAHER, Helen PATTERSON, Bill MIRRLEES and Ross MIRRLEES. Cremation. GAY, Carol (née McNAMARA) -- It is with immeasurable sadness that the family announces that a dearly loved and beautiful person, Carol GAY, has passed through this life and gone home to be with her Maker, peacefully, on Sunday, November 17, 2002, after a gallant battle with cancer. She will always be remembered with love and missed by her family and many, many Friends. She was the third child of the late Frank and May McNAMARA of East York proud and loving mother of two cherished sons, Terry and his beloved life partner, Carolyn and Andy; exceptional grandmother to her precious cherished grand_son Sean Christopher GAY, the treasure and joy in her life. Sister of the late Doug McNAMARA formerly of Peterborough; sister-in-law of Dorothy PESTELL of Toronto and her family; sister of Barbara and her husband Alf LAUESEN of Campbellford and Ken and his wife Lynda McNAMARA of London. Aunt to Joanna and Paul McNAMARA and Kristina and Peter LAUESEN. Former wife and special friend of Gerry GAY of Omemee. Many Friends affectionately remember Carol; she touched the hearts of innumerable people. A compassionate, loyal and giving person she was always willing to offer a helping hand. McNAMARA, Thomas John -- Passed away peacefully but suddenly in Santiago, Chile on November 2, 2002 at the age of 79. Born on December 3, 1922 in Calgary, Alberta, Thomas, during his lifetime, lived in many countries including Mexico, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, and Chile. He was a man of principle, honour and compassion for his fellow travellers on the voyage of life. His caring, guidance and nurturing spirit helped so many people along the way. Thomas was predeceased by Aida May McNAMARA, his beloved first wife and mother of his three sons, Patrick (Mairi), John (Jan) and Paul, his granddaughter Jennifer Marie McNAMARA, his grand_son James Thomas, and his loving sister Margaret McNAMARA (Congregation of Saint Joseph of Medaille). He is also survived by his second wife, and best friend, Gladys MacHUCA in Santiago. Thomas will be interred alongside Aida MAY, in a tranquil place near Bay of Islands, New Zealand. Please keep Thomas in loving memory and prayer, and raise an occasional glass to him. He would like that.
