George PICKARD, a resident of Gore Bay, died at the Mindemoya
Hospital on Thursday, January 30, 2003 at the age of 81 years. He
was born at Ice Lake,
son of the late Robert and Elizabeth

George had worked for 7 years at
INCO, then returned home
and farmed for 46 years, retiring to Gore Bay in 1989. He was a
member of the United Church, and had many interests including
gardening, fishing, and doing crossword puzzles. His greatest love
was his family. He thoroughly enjoyed spending time with all his
family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. he was
a kind and caring husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather,
and will be sadly missed, but many memories will be cherished.

A retired teacher of the Toronto Board of Education she was a
proud member of Glenview Presbyterian Church for over half a

south of Lawrence). Funeral Service will be held at Glenview
Presbyterian Church (Glenview Avenue at Yonge Street, 3 blocks
south of Lawrence), on Monday March 17 at 2 o'clock. Interment
at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Following Interment a reception will
be held at the Church. In lieu of flowers, a donation, by those
who so wish, to either the Glenview Presbyterian Church Fund
or The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be respectfully

Lawrence RECOLLET, a resident of Wikwemikong, passed away at the
Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current on Sunday, June 1, 2003 at
the age of 77 years. He was born in Wikwemikong,
son of the late
David and Lena

RECOLLET. He was a member of Saint Anthony Daniel
Catholic Church, Kaboni. Lawrence worked for E.B. Eddy Forest
Products as a logger. He enjoyed the outdoors along with hunting and
fishing. His family and extended family will miss Lawrence, but many
happy memories will be cherished.
