Dalton Arden WRIGHT
In loving memory of Dalton Arden WRIGHT, October 9, 1921 - September 22, 2004.
The family announces with sorrow, the death of Dalton WRIGHT, 82 years of age of Gore Bay, who passed away on Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current. He was born in Gordon Township, son of the late Orpha and Leonard WRIGHT. He married Anna WRIGHT in 1945 in Gore Bay. After his discharge from the Navy, he spent his working career predominately driving trucks and farming. A long time resident of Gore Bay, he was a renowned gardener that enjoyed sharing his produce with many customers. He enjoyed other hobbies such as hunting, playing cards, watching and following sports and socializing with everyone who came to visit. He was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 514, Gore Bay. Dalton was predeceased by his beloved wife Anna, December 15, 1998. Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by children Dianne (Eugene) MOKOHONUK of Espanola, Ken (Earlene) of Gore Bay, Patsy (Cheyenne) NICHOLSON of Orillia and Jim (Dayle) of Gore Bay. Loved grandfather of Dalton Roy MOKOHONUK, Doug, Rhonda, Rodney, Dwayne and Darcy HOPKIN, Cheyenne NICHOLSON and Brandon and Daylin WRIGHT and great grandchildren Logan MOKOHONUK, Michelle and Shaun MacINTYRE, Autumn and Alyssa HOPKIN and Jordan SAMPLE. Loving brother of Blair (Doris) of Collingwood, Gladys (Grant, predeceased) BEANGE of Garson, Leon (John, predeceased) DOLLAR of Cambridge. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay after 7 pm on Friday. The Funeral service was conducted in the Wm. G. Turner Chapel on Saturday, September 25, 2004 at 11 am with Pastor Maxine McVEY officiating. Interment in Gordon Cemetery.

Dorothy ADDISON (October 22, 1914 - February 8, 2004,) a resident of Silver Water, passed away at her residence on Silver Lake on Sunday, February 8, 2004, at the age of 89 years. She was born at Silver Water, daughter of the late John and Elma (EDMONDS) HOPKINS. Dorothy lived her entire life on the family farm at Silver Water. She was involved in the community, at church as a member of Saint Andrew's United church and attended Saint Peter's Anglican church where she played the organ until recently. Dorothy was also a life member of the United Church Women, the Women's Institute and a Community Hall board member. Music played an important part of her life as she played for the Old Time Orchestra, church and at various occasions at the nursing home. Her hobbies included: knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening. Aside from her family and community, Dorothy's greatest love was her music. She will be sadly missed, but many memories will be cherished by all who knew her.
Beloved wife of the late John (Jack) Elwood ADDISON who predeceased in 1982. Loving and loved mother of Jack and Alice ADDISON of Caley of Port Elgin, and Lyle and Ann ADDISON of Silver Water. Dear grandmother of Mike and Laurie ADDISON, Lindsay and Lisa ADDISON, Lori and John MASTELKO, all of Manitoulin, Sharon and John LLOYD, Lianne and Brad PAGE, Jim and Sue CALEY of Southern Ontario, John and Jean ADDISON, Marc and Kathe ADDISON, Tina and Ralph RUSCHECK and Jim ADDISON, all of Ohio and 20 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by three brothers, Alan, Stanley, and Murray, brothers-in-law, Darrel HAZZARD, Reece TRICK and Norman McDONALD and sisters-in-law Pearl HOPKINS and Peggy HOPKINS. Friends called at the Culgin Funeral Home, Gore Bay, after 7: 00 pm on Tuesday. The funeral service will be conducted in the William G. Turner Chapel on Wednesday, February 11, 2004 at 11: 00 am with Mr. Erwin THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and Reverend Beth TOPPS officiating. Spring interment in Silver Lake Cemetery.

William Matthew MATHESON
In loving memory of William Matthew MATHESON, February 3, 1924 - August 26, 2004, a resident of Silver Water, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the age of 80 years.
He was born at Elizabeth Bay, son of the late Norman and Bertha (MORDEN) MATHESON. Matt had worked for the Department of Transportation, as a mechanic, from 1947 until his retirement in 1980. He was very active in his community, having been founding Fire Chief of the Robinson Fire Department, had served on many Boards of the local Service Board for Robinson Township, and had been a very active member of the Snowdusters, grooming countless miles of trails. Matt had a variety of interests other than his community involvement. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, flying, travelling and loved horses and music. He also enjoyed visiting with people. He will be sadly missed by his loving and loved family and numerous Friends. Beloved husband of Ollie (TENNISWOOD) MATHESON. Matt and Ollie would have celebrated 59 years of marriage next month. Precious Dad to Lyla (Peter) MUNT of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta, Norman (friend Linda) and Don (Virginia) of Silver Water. Dear Grandfather of Stephen, Judy, Robert and Katerina, Greg and Jessica. James Lawrence McALLISTER
In loving memory of James Lawrence McALLISTER, February 21, 1949 - December 16, 2004.
Jim McALLISTER, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday, December 16, 2004 at the age of 55 years.
He was born at Thessalon, son of the late Orval (predeceased October 25, 1994) and Evelyn
(predeceased March 5, 1995) (HOPPER) McALLISTER. Jim was employed at Domtar for 32 years. He was a great supporter of the Lake Kagawong Bass Derby and Orvalís Hunt Camp. He enjoyed music and movies, but mostly loved the outdoors. Jim loved to hunt and fish, boating and nothing was better than going for drives. He had covered an incredible amount of territory in his truck. Jim was loved dearly by his family and will be sadly missed but many memories will be cherished. Dearly loved and loving brother of Mary and husband John WHITE/WHYTE of Providence Bay, Eleanor, husband Lawrence McMURRAY of Mindemoya, Bill and his wife Jackie of London, Martin of Mindemoya, Gord and his wife Helga of Mindemoya and Reg and his wife Gloria of Spring Bay. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Friends called at Saint Francis of Assisi Anglican Church after 7 pm on Sunday. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 11 am. Cremation to follow. Arrangements in care of Culgin Funeral Home.
