The family announces with sorrow, the death of Dalton
WRIGHT, 82
years of age of Gore Bay, who passed away on Wednesday, September 22,
2004 at the Manitoulin Health Centre, Little Current. He was born in
Gordon Township,
son of the late Orpha and Leonard
WRIGHT. He married
Anna WRIGHT in 1945 in Gore Bay. After his discharge from the Navy, he
spent his working career predominately driving trucks and farming. A
long time resident of Gore Bay, he was a renowned gardener that enjoyed
sharing his produce with many customers. He enjoyed other hobbies such
as hunting, playing cards, watching and following sports and socializing
with everyone who came to visit. He was also a member of the Royal
Canadian Legion, Branch 514, Gore Bay.
Dalton was predeceased by his beloved wife Anna, December 15, 1998.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by children Dianne (Eugene)

Dorothy ADDISON
(October 22, 1914 - February 8, 2004,) a resident of
Silver Water, passed away at her residence on Silver Lake on Sunday,
February 8, 2004, at the age of 89 years. She was born at Silver
Water, daughter of the late John and Elma
(EDMONDS)
HOPKINS.
Dorothy lived her entire life on the family farm at Silver Water.
She was involved in the community, at church as a member of Saint
Andrew's United church and attended Saint Peter's Anglican church where
she played the organ until recently. Dorothy was also a life member
of the United Church Women, the Women's Institute and a Community Hall board member.
Music played an important part of her life as she played for the Old
Time Orchestra, church and at various occasions at the nursing home.
Her hobbies included: knitting, crocheting, quilting, gardening.
Aside from her family and community, Dorothy's greatest love was her
music. She will be sadly missed, but many memories will be cherished
by all who knew her.

MATHESON,
February 3, 1924 - August
26, 2004, a resident of Silver Water, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on
Thursday, August 26, 2004 at the age of 80 years.
He was born at Elizabeth Bay,
son of the late Norman and Bertha
(MORDEN)
MATHESON.
Matt had worked for the Department of Transportation, as a mechanic, from
1947 until his retirement in 1980. He was very active in his community,
having been founding Fire Chief of the Robinson Fire Department, had
served on many Boards of the local Service Board for Robinson Township,
and had been a very active member of the Snowdusters, grooming countless
miles of trails. Matt had a variety of interests other than his
community involvement. He enjoyed snowmobiling, boating, flying,
travelling and loved horses and music. He also enjoyed visiting with
people. He will be sadly missed by his loving and loved family and numerous Friends.

Jim McALLISTER, a resident of Mindemoya, died at the Mindemoya Hospital on Thursday,
December 16, 2004 at the age of 55 years.
He was born at Thessalon,
son of the late Orval (predeceased October 25, 1994) and Evelyn
(predeceased March 5, 1995)

Jim was employed at Domtar for 32 years.
He was a great supporter of the Lake Kagawong Bass Derby and Orval’s Hunt Camp. He
enjoyed music and movies, but mostly loved the outdoors. Jim loved to
hunt and fish, boating and nothing was better than going for drives. He
had covered an incredible amount of territory in his truck. Jim was
loved dearly by his family and will be sadly missed but many memories
will be cherished. Dearly loved and loving brother of Mary and husband
John WHITE/WHYTE of Providence Bay, Eleanor, husband Lawrence
McMURRAY of
Mindemoya, Bill and his wife Jackie of London, Martin of Mindemoya, Gord
and his wife Helga of Mindemoya and Reg and his wife Gloria of Spring
Bay. Also survived by several nieces, nephews and great nieces and
nephews. Friends called at Saint Francis of Assisi Anglican Church after 7
pm on Sunday. The funeral service was conducted at the church on Monday,
December 20, 2004 at 11 am. Cremation to follow.
