Dear father of Brian and wife Pam of Cambridge, Greg of Maple Ridge, British Columbia, Jeff and Sandi of Norwich. He will be missed by his grandchildren Jason, Krista and Reonne ARN and Katrina. Brother of Betty and husband Len ZIMMER of Saskatoon, Audrey and husband Bob MORRISON of London. Brother-in-law of Phyllis PATCHETT, Doris BOTHWELL, Mary Jane ELDER, Ruth and husband Joe WIST, Betty WILSON. Survived by a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Roy was the former owner of the Arn and son Funeral Home, active funeral director for 58 years, Clerk of Session and member of the Knox Presbyterian Church in Norwich, Past Master of Saint John's Lodge # 104 Ancient, Free and Accepted Masons, Norwich, Veteran of World War 2, Past President of the Norwich Legion Br# 190, Past President of the Western Ontario Funeral Directors Association and many more clubs and organizations. Margaret Edith slipped peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Nithview Home in New Hamburg in her 85th year. Margaret, also known to her family as 'Peg' was the last of nine children born to the late Charles and Beatrice (SEAGER) COUGHTREY. Margaret was the beloved wife of the late Stanley L. DURRANT (Gar) who predeceased her in 1971 while they were doing missionary work with The Evangelical Alliance Mission in South Africa, where he is buried. Dear mother of Rosemary and husband Douglas MELVILLE of New Hamburg and Marguerite and husband John CASTIGLIONE of Toronto. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Gordon (Janessa) MELVILLE and son Gabriel, Dawn (Rod RUEHLE) and children Rachel and Joshua, Catherine (Dan ARNDT) and children Ryan, Andrew and Sarah, Brenda MELVILLE: Matthew, Jason and Jennifer CASTIGLIONE. Margaret, also known as 'Peg' by her eight siblings Jack, Lillian, Charles, Muriel, Huck, Lloyd, Gordon and Bill all predeceased her. Passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer on Saturday, November 19th, 2005 in his 80th year.
He will be missed by his wife Gail and his stepsons Brad ARNDT and his wife Jennifer, Trevor ARNDT and his wife Sandy and Brian ARNDT and his wife Pattie. Grandpa Bruce will be forever missed by his grand_sons Tristan, Tyler, Simon and Hayden. He was predeceased by his first wife Beth and his son Robert.
Bruce was an Australian by birth and a Canadian by choice, Bruce's loving laughter will be remembered by all who knew him.
Bruce's family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines on Wednesday, November 23rd from 12 p.m.-2 p.m. A Memorial Service will take place in the funeral home chapel at 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Cremation has taken place.

Mr. BLACKER was a retired sales representative with Dr. Scholl's foot products. He served as a veteran of World War 2 R.C.N.V.R. and was a member of Harriston Royal Canadian Legion Branch 296. Dick VAN WATTEGHEM, after a courageous battle, passed away on June 22, 2005. Dick was born on August 17th, 1956 in Chatham, Ontario, graduated with a B.A.A. - Interior Design from Ryerson in 1979. Dick moved to Calgary in 1990, to form Martens/VanWatteghem Design Consultants Ltd., with Sharon MARTENS, but due to illness, stepped away from the business in 1995. Dick brought his great sense of style, his creative talent, and his unique, sweet sense of humour to everyone he met. Leaving to mourn his loss is his mother Vi VAN WATTEGHEM of Chatham, his brother Frank (Cathy) of Windsor, his niece Shannon (Randy LEVASSEUR) and nephew Trevor (Karen KENNY) and their children Tommy, Madeline and Mia. Dick was predeceased by his father Frank in 1973, his great friend and colleague Peter RICE in 1994 and his little 'Angel' Dillon in 2004. With deepest love and sadness, the family of Ruth GENT (BLOCK) announces her passing on Wednesday, April 20, 2005, in her 85th year. After surviving an unexpected heart attack on April 9th, she went peacefully in her sleep Wednesday morning. She was the beloved wife of the late Newt GENT for over 64 years. Ruth was the loving mother to Marilyn ARNOLD and Bonnie GENT, mother-in-law to Tim KING and the late Don ARNOLD. Devoted grandmother to Cindy, Tina, Wendy, Tammy, Don and Mike and their spouses. Cherished "G.G.M." to 12 great-grandchildren. Ruth was the last of 13 siblings to pass in the Block family. She will be deeply missed by the remaining family on both the Gent and Block sides and her many nieces and nephews. Ruth will also be in the thoughts of many, many Friends she and Newt made over the years. A remembrance gathering will be held on Sunday, April 24th between 2 and 4 p.m. at Skinner and Middlebrook Ltd., 128 Lakeshore Rd. E. On Friday, March 18, 2005, Mrs. Margaret Dell KELLY of Edmonton, formerly of Niagara Falls, Ontario, passed away peacefully at the age of 88 years. She will be lovingly remembered by daughters, Corrine (Jim) CHENG, Sherwood Park, Alberta and Paula (Gene) ARNOLD of Illinois, U.S.A. She will also be remembered by her grandchildren, Aaron (Tamara) CHENG, Calgary, Andrew CHENG, Sherwood Park, and Paula CHENG, Waterloo, Ontario; her two sisters, Marian CUMMINGS, Peterborough, Ontario and Shirley (Terry) KELLY, Toronto, Ontario. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Patrick KELLY. Cremation has taken place. It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of Harry Arnold GALE, known to everyone as 'Arnie'. With his loving wife Elizabeth ((Bettenée) ARNOLD) holding his hand and by his side he left this world all too young at age sixty. He was born in Winnipeg and was predeceased by his former wife Maggie, his mother Muriel (Bobby) and father Harry (Doc). He leaves behind his sister Melody and brother Mark, nephew Matthew and niece Natalie all of Winnipeg, also a loving mom-in-law Jessie and brothers-in-law Thom, Jim and Fred and their respective wives Gerda, Karen and Jan, his best fishing partner nephew Dave and favourite niece Lauren all of Whitby and nieces Michelle and Melanie of Barrie. Arnie managed the local Zurich Insurance claims office until it was closed and he then worked for Zurich in Toronto. He was eagerly anticipating retirement with his adoring wife Bette when the terrible scourge of cancer hit him in February. He fought bravely but this time cancer won. Please please we must find a cure for this hateful disease! Arnie also leaves behind many wonderful Friends and his beloved cat Murray. He was a caring, funny, generous and loving husband and man and the world is a better place for him having been here. We never die when we live in the hearts of those who love us, and love him we did, and do. Mr. GALE will be resting at the W.C. Husband of 51 years to Marion, father of Yolanda Ann, Dan James III (Catherine), and two precious granddaughters, Brigette Traynor POWELL and Jennifer Danielle POWELL; also sisters Joyce POWELL, Merle ARNOLD, and Ena KENLEY, brother Roy, deceased sisters and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews in U.S.A.; cousins in Canada, United States and Jamaica. Educated in St. Francis Xavier's Academy, Nassau, Bahamas, Saint John's University, Collegeville, Minnesota, and Loyola University, Chicago, Illinois. Former member of the Diplomatic Corps, former first Trade Commissioner for Jamaica to Canada, appointed in 1971, former Consul and Senior Trade Commissioner for Jamaica to Canada, appointed in 1977, former Secretary Consular Corps Association of Toronto in 1979. Awarded the Order of Distinction (Officer) in 1975 for Public Services, particularly in the area of Foreign Trade. Danny was a member of Our Lady Queen of the World Church in Richmond Hill, where he served as an usher.
