Jean of Blenheim passed away on Easter Sunday, March 27, 2005 at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Born in Czechoslovakia 92 years ago, daughter of Frank and Maria KONECNY. She had farmed on the Mull Sideroad with her husband Matt MacHAN who died in 1983. Jean is the loving mother of daughter Sadie PISHL of Chatham and son Frank MacHAN of Blenhiem. Also survived by loved grandchildren: Mary Ellen PISHL; Stephanie DICARLO and Jennie MacHAN; special great grand daughter Natalie and sister Annie TOMECEK, Chatham. Predeceased by two sisters Lillian and Mary; brothers Frank and John KONECNY. Resting at the J.L. On the morning of May 24th, 2005 passed on from this beautiful world to join his belated and beloved wife Cecylia who had peacefully passed on May 25th, 1998. Beloved father of Alexander, Kristine and her husband Tom. Wladyslaw was cherished by his dearest sister Josephine and brother Joseph along with all the dear relatives in Poland. Lovingly remembered by nieces and nephews in Canada, including Diana, Georges, Tom, Kandyd, Ursula, Eddy, Mark and Marisha. Wladyslaw was born in Krakow, Poland on May 25, 1921 and survived 5 years of the prison labour camps of World War Two. Arriving in Canada in 1949 was a blessing he cherished every day of his life. Our sincere gratitude to the dedicated and compassionate doctors and nurses of the Cardiac Intensive Care Units at Sunnybrook & Women's College Hospital. Special thanks to Dr. E. CRYSTAL, Dr. A. DICK, Dr. I. LASHEVSKY, Dr. J. DUBBIN and Dr. SPEARS. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 26th. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday morning at 11 o'clock at St. Bonaventure's Church (Father BONIFACE officiating), 1300 Leslie Street. Interment York Cemetery. Beloved mother of Deborah DICK and her husband Melbourne, Daniel COLLINS and his wife Sue, Denise SCOTT and her husband Jay, and Deanna NAPPER and her husband Gerry. Dear Grandma of Matthew and Shannon DICK, Vanessa and Kaitlyn COLLINS, Danielle and Courtney SCOTT, Royce, James and Anna NAPPER. A private family service was held on Friday, June 17, 2005. Interment was held at Glendale Memorial Gardens.

Peacefully, at his home on Tuesday, June 21st, 2005 aged 82. Predeceased by his beloved wife Rachel (née PETTIGREW.) Loving father of Alexander (Sandy) predeceased, daughter Sharon and husband George MERCER of St. Catharines, son David and his wife Lorna of St. Catharines, daughter Sheila and husband Todd FINLEY of Kelowna, British Columbia and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Cherished brother of Stewart and Barbara (deceased,) Shirley and husband Jack THOM, William and wife Dolores of Hamilton. World War 2 Veteran, executive member of Royal Canadian Legion Earlscourt Branch 65, 48th Highlanders of Canada Pipe Band, past member of Toronto Scottish Regimental Pipe Band and Toronto Irish Regimental Pipe Band. Organizer and first pipe major of 177th Toronto Boy Scout Pipe Band (Gordon Tartan), Knox Presbyterian Church. Past member of Scarborough Artillery Corps (Militia). Active member of Don Valley Artist Club. Awarded fellow of Scottish Tartan Society, F.S.T.S. January 1996, Pitlochry, Perthshire, Scotland. Alex was an avid bowler, five and ten pin, and lawn bowler at Kew Gardens in Lawrence Park. He enjoyed his Scottish heritage with many trips to the olde country. Special thanks for the help given by his granddaughter Jennifer MERCER, R.N. and Rebecca DICK, R.N., parish nurse at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south of Lawrence), 416-488-1101 an Wednesday, June 22nd from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral service is being held on Thursday, June 23rd at Armour Heights Presbyterian Church, 105 Wilson Avenue (east of Avenue Road) at 1 p.m. with visitation from 12 noon. Passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 16, 2005 at York Central Hospital. Edna is predeceased by her husband William (Bill), and survived by her son Guy TRIPP and family, daughter Cathy FLICK and family, sister Jean CARR and brother Bob GALBRAITH, both of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and sister Doris HORNE of Barrie, Ontario.
