Peacefully in the comfort of his home in Fergus and surrounded by his family on June 5th, 2005, in his 70th year. Frank fought a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband of Sandra (GALLICHAN,) dear father of Laura WHITEFORD and Bruce and Cynthia BENDLE and Ray. Frank was a proud papa of Kayla and Kyle BENDLE. Survived by many nieces and nephews and by his sisters Lillian THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON (Ernie) of Ottawa, Katherine BEAUVAIS (Ray) of Ottawa and Linda MONUK (Gerald GLANDON) of Ottawa and his brothers Stanley (Gloria) of Fergus and Bruce of Ottawa. Frank had a long time career in large construction projects with Guest, Fishbank and Moore, Lummus Canada and with the Toronto Transit Commission. Family and Friends will be received at the Graham A. Doris GLANFIELD, 82, of Tavistock passed away in Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, February 26, 2005. She was born in Stratford on April 10, 1922 a daughter of the late Jacob W. WETTLAUFER and the former Ida SCHWANTZ. Doris was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sebastopol-Tavistock where she had been a member of the E.L.W. She had managed the former Lemp Pharmacy in Tavistock for several years, was a member of the Tavistock Couples Club and had worked with the Men's Club Sauerkraut Committee. She married William E. GLANFIELD at Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church, Stratford on April 19, 1952. He predeceased her on June 22, 1999.

Elsie passed away on Sunday, February 27th, 2005, in the Stratford General Hospital. Elsie was born and raised in Stratford, the daughter of Jacob and Ida (SCHWANTZ) WETTLAUFER. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was active in the E.L.W., Alter Guild and a noted bell ringer at the church. She was also very involved in the Kinettes and K40 clubs of Stratford and enjoyed the Sunday Brunch club at Demetre's.
She was wed to Fred CLARKE December 6th, 1947 who predeceased her on February 1st, 1990. She is survived by her two daughters, Lynne CLARKE of London and Sherri, and her husband Robert LEE and their son Robbie of Toronto; her sister, Jean NEWBURY, sister-in-law Florence WETTLAUFER both of London and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents Elsie was predeceased by her sister Doris GLANFIELD of Tavistock on February 26th, 2005; and earlier by her brother Jack WETTLAUFER of London and her brother-in-law, Victor NEWBURY. Elsie will be fondly remembered for her love of laughter, generous spirit, warm gift of Friendship to all she met and her daring escapades on her Harley Davidson motorcycle "Sparerib". Relatives and Friends are invited to pay their respects and share their memories with the family at W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford, Friday March 4th from 2 til 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. Born in Holland, daughter of the late Hendrik and Geertje (WAGENAAR) GLAS. Loving mother of Trudy RAES and her companion Clarence RYLETT of Chatham and Leonard HAZENBERG and his wife Sylvia of London. Beloved Oma of Ryan, Rena, Vanessa, Colin, Matthew, Jordan, Nicholas and Joshua. Great-grandmother of Cody, Chasitie, Triston and Briana. Sister of Geer DEGROOT and Trien and Marten ZWAAN all of the Netherlands. Sister-in-law of Truus WAGENAAR; Ina HAZENBERG all of the Netherlands, Anie and George DERUITER, Chatham, Co and Markus KRYGER, British Columbia. 88, formerly of 1400 Elaine Trail, Mississauga, died on Sunday, July 17th, 2005 at the King Gardens Retirement Home. Mr. McASKIN was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie KELLY, his brothers Gerald and Edward, and his granddaughter, Sarah Caitlin GLASER. He is survived by his daughters, Carolyn McASKIN of Oakville and Maureen GLASER and her husband Fred of Greenville, North Carolina, and his grand_son, Adam Mcaskin GLASER. Mr. McASKIN was born on September 4, 1916, in Auburn, New York. In his first year the family relocated to Prescott, Ontario, where he spent his early years. During World War 2 he served in the North Atlantic as a member of the Royal Canadian Navy. He was employed for many years as an electrician on construction projects in the Toronto metropolitan area. Following his retirement he maintained an active interest in sailing, winemaking, gardening, woodcarving and painting. He will be remembered as a hard worker, a meticulous craftsman, a devoted husband and father, a good neighbour, and a loyal friend. Predeceased by his father Francis T.J. SWEENEY, his step-mother Mary DOHERTY and his half brother Michael. Survived by his aunt E. At Princess Margaret Hospital on Saturday, June 25, 2005 after a long, valiant and courageous battle with leukemia. Beloved and loving, adored and adoring husband of Helena; loving father of Susanne, Karen and Marty, and the late Robert GLASS; proud grandpa of Rebecca and Simone. Also survived by mother Anne GLASS and brother Jesse and Nora. A brilliant, interesting and courageous man, George loved life and tried to live it to its fullest. He graduated as a chemical engineer from the University of Toronto in 1954 and completed his law degree there in 1957. He was called to the bar in 1959. He had a long and successful career as a lawyer and was deeply involved in many volunteer capacities in the Jewish Community. His volunteer career reached its pinnacle when he was elected and served as president of the Beth Tzedec Congregation from 1993-1995. Special love and thanks to the following who cared for George so beautifully during his illness; at Princess Margaret Hospital: Dr. Mark MINDEN, Dr. Andrejz LUTYNSKI, Dr. Ken PECKAM, the nurses of 14A, 14B, 15B and the Transfusion Centre. Josi said it wasn't fair and didn't want to give in, but on December 21st, 2005, in her 64th year, she submitted to the cancer that she had battled for four years. Beloved wife of Ken, they shared a passion for family, Friends, travel and theatre during their 43-year marriage. Loving mother and mother-in-law to Jennifer (Robb GLASS,) Christopher▲ (Julie▲ MULVEY,) Jacqueline, and Jeffrey (Victoria TEERLINK.) Proud▲ Nona▲ of Laura and Stuart DROPE, and Rosalyn and Michael GLASS. Dear sister-in-law to Carol DOCKRELL and partner Bette SWEATMAN. Cherished daughter of the late Frank BATTAGLIA and Mary MORELLO. Fondly▲ remembered by extended family and many close Friends. As receptionist, legal secretary, community volunteer, teacher aid and school secretary, she gave unselfishly to others.
