Died peacefully at Royal City Manor, New Westminster, British Columbia. Predeceased by husband W. Merion (Blondie) VICKERS, Q.C., and grand_son Peter KREBS. Survived by daughter Mary and husband Charles HUMPHRIES of Vancouver, son Michael and wife Pat of East Grinstead, United Kingdom, three grand-children Elsie and John KREBS of British Columbia, Michael VICKERS of Ottawa and (5) great-grand-children. Hope (Chicken to her Friends) grew up in "old Toronto", she went to Havergal on Jarvis Street, and then the new Havergal on the Hill. The long hot summers were spent swimming, and picking blueberries at Sans Souci. For a short time she was secretary to the University of Toronto History department, followed by marriage, children, dogs and the "cabin " at Caledon. While Blondie struggled with the hydraulic ram, Hope gardened, protected the birds from predators and welcomed many Friends, kids and grandkids. Although her heart and soul were in Toronto, she moved to Vancouver in 1999 to be near her family. At Royal City Manor she was lovingly tended by the caregivers there. A celebration of her life will be held June 2, 2: 30-4:30 at The Pen Café, 101-319 Governors Court, New Westminster, British Columbia. A second celebration will be held in Toronto at a later date. No flowers but, a donation to your favourite charity in Hope's name would be appreciated.

Loving mother of Ann and Mary and son-in-law David KEYS. Dear Nanny of Ann's children Bronwyn, Signy and Eric and Mary and David's children Christina and Alexandra. Dear aunt of the Livingstone family; Sue McRUER, Joan LIVINGSTONE and Julie HAMMOND and of the Bythell family; Bonnie BYTHELL, Margo KREH, David BYTHELL and Sara SPRAQUE. Daughter of the late Elsie Leatherdale LIVINGSTONE and Herbert LIVINGSTONE. Bette was raised in Shelburne, Ontario with her brother Hugh LIVINGSTONE. After graduation from the Ontario College of Art in 1937, she married Don in 1940. They lived and raised their children in Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto. Bette was a keen athlete throughout her life, enjoying curling and tennis as well as summers at the cottage on Gloucester Pool. A Memorial Service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, May 21, 2005 at 10 am. Reception to follow. At Saint Thomas Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, December 6, 2005. George GOECKLER of R.R.#5, Aylmer in his 77th year. Beloved husband of Gertrude "Gertie" (NEUKAMM) GOECKLER. Loving father of Edward GOECKLER and wife Brenda of R.R.#5, Aylmer and Trudy BUNDE and husband Jon of Saint Thomas. Also survived by a number of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a son Richard GOECKLER (1975,) sisters Christine CROSBY and Katharina SCHUSTER and a brother Michael KREMER. Born in Weisskirch, Romania on July 21, 1929 son of the late George and Anna GOECKLER. George came to Canada in 1948 and grew tobacco for many years. He was a faithful member of Saint John's Lutheran Church and served on church council. George was a member of the German Canadian Club. He was a fireman with Malahide Fire Dept.#2, he served on the tobacco board and coached Aylmer Minor Hockey. Friends may call at the H.A. He was born in France son of the late Bastian and Tina (BOEREN) STASSE. He served in the Dutch Allied Services - First Infantry 8R.E. in the Netherland's East Indies. He immigrated to Canada in 1953 and settled in Dresden. He was a member of the Canadian Legion Br. 113, Dresden. Hank is survived by his wife Johanna (KREMERS) STASSE; one daughter Henrietta and Gary WEBSTER; fours sons: John and Betty STASSE, Maurice STASSE, Geoffrey STASSE and Richard and Carol STASSE all of Dresden; six grandchildren two great grandchildren; two sisters and one brother living in Holland. He is predeceased by one son Henry and three sisters. Friends were received at the Thomas L.
