It is with great sorrow our family announces the death of Larry at the age of 51 years. He will be sadly missed by his wife, Sherry and his three sons, Tom, Ryan and Leslie and his sister Sandra. Larry was devoted to his family and always made us his priority. Those who knew Larry could always count on his loyalty, caring and confidentiality. He was a man of honour and integrity. Our family would like to thank Doctors and nurses at P.M.H, the nurses and staff at K.D.H. and the O.C.A.C will not be forgotten. Peacefully passed away on July 27th, 2005 in her Owen Sound home. Loving wife of the late James Michael CRANNIE, she goes on to join him. Left to honour in her memory are her children, Timothy CRANNIE, Suzanne and her husband Maurice O'NEIL, grandchildren Shannon, Kelly, Danielle O'NEIL and James CRANNIE along with many dear Friends. Dear sister of Leon (Mrs. Jack BARBER.) Sister-in-law of Paul CRANNIE. Predeceased by her brother, James HENDERSON. Shirley will be remembered as a dedicated teacher, mentor and pioneer in the Special Education Program for the Province of Ontario, before her retirement as a consultant at the Teacher's Centre in Brampton. Friends may call at the Breckenridge-Ashcroft Funeral Home on Friday evening from 7: 00 to 9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 11: 00 a.m. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. Dear son of Donald "Don" and Barbara (née PATTERSON) LEWKO, of Holland Centre, and son-in-law of Jim and Joyce (née AULT) O'NEIL, of Embro. Loved brother of Sonia GIBBONS and her husband, David, and their daughter, Abbie, all of Simcoe, and brother-in-law of Trevor O'NEIL and his wife, Kathy, and their family JoAnna and Connor, all of Embro. Dear grand_son of Sophie "Baba" LEWKO (late Daniel,) of Kirkland Lake, and grand_son-in-law of Erma O'NEIL (late Robert.) Mr.▼ Michael▼ Gordon▼ "Mike" CHILDS a life long resident of Wallaceburg passed away suddenly on Monday, February 14, 2005 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance "Sydenham Campus", in Wallaceburg, at the age of 45 years. Mike was the owner of the Oaks Inn in Wallaceburg. He was a past president of Wallaceburg Minor Baseball and past president of the Kinsmen Club of Wallaceburg. He devoted much of his time to minor sports in Wallaceburg. Mike was also involved with many Wallaceburg community events. Loving husband of 21 years to Dianne (O'NEIL) CHILDS. Loving father of Tyler, Adam and Jason. Dear son of Gord and Fran CHILDS and son-in-law of Harry and Grace O'NEIL all of Wallaceburg. Kind brother of Michelle and Barry LAJOIE of Sombra, Mark and Theresa CHILDS of Wallaceburg. Kind brother-in-law of Gary and Janice O'NEIL of Wallaceburg, Shirl and Doug GILLILAND of Glencoe, Trish O'NEIL and her friend Andy BAART of Wallaceburg and Stephen and Kim O'NEIL of British Columbia. John JASICA and Fr. John PIRT celebrated the mass and the Life Teen Band offered the music. The readings were done by John VANHECKE, Paul BAERT and John SALISBURY. The gifts were brought to the altar by the Bujaki Family. Doug BABBITT and Harry COURTIS offered eulogy's. The Kinsmen Club formed the honour guard. Flower Bearers were Doug BABBITT and Harry COURTIS. The Pall Bearers were Kim MURRAY, Doug EGLIN, Brian WADSWORTH, Paul BILODEAU, Mike BATEMAN, John SALISBURY, John VANHECKE, Paul BAERT and Randy SMITH. Interment has taken place in Riverview Cemetery, Wallaceburg. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Children's Trust Fund may be left at the funeral home. As a living memorial a tree will be planted in Nicholls Memorial Forest in memory of Mike CHILDS.

Peacefully at North Lambton Rest Home Forest, on Sunday, January 16, 2005, Douglas Harry O'NEIL age 80 of Warwick Township. Douglas farmed all his life in Warwick. In his later years he was a successful poultry farmer. He is lovingly remembered by two nieces, Neila LAWSON of London and Elizabeth WILLIAMS (Stan) of Calgary, Alberta, and one nephew Bob O'NEIL (Eleanore) of Chatham. He will be missed by a brother-in-law Mack LAWSON of London and a sister-in-law Frances O'NEIL of Warwick Township. Doug is predeceased by his parents Herman and Elizabeth (Bessie) O'NEIL and a sister Audrey LAWSON and two brothers William and George O'NEIL. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening January 18, 2005, from 7-9 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Watford. A celebration of Doug's life will be held on Wednesday, January 19th, at 2 p.m. from the Harper Funeral Home Watford with Pastor Tom BEECROFT officiating. Interment to follow in Bethel Cemetery. Dearly loved mother of C.J. “Kit” BROWN and his wife Yolande of Saint Thomas, Linda BROWN of St. Hubert, Quebec and Janet and her husband Dr. Ken DYMOCK of Oakville. Cherished grandmother of Anne THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON, Cathy BROWN, Steven RYAN, Simon DYMOCK, Laura DYMOCK, Karen O'NEIL and Kristen NESBITT. Born in Saint Thomas, July 5, 1914, the daughter of the late John and Clara (RANDALL) SQUANCE. Mrs. BROWN was a member of Centre St. Baptist Church, Saint Thomas, a member of the Ruth Fletcher Mission Circle of the church and formerly served on the renovation committee. A public memorial service will be held at the Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas on Tuesday, April 12th at 1 p.m. There will be no public visitation prior to the day of service. Nancy Jean on April 24th, 2005 in London, England after a courageous battle with cancer, born January 2nd, 1940. She lived her early life in Saint Thomas attending Elmdale School and S.T.C.I., and received her Masters Degree from Queen's University. After 2 years in Vancouver she moved to England were she taught French and English in London, retiring a few years ago. Daughter of Dorothy (ROBERTS) O'NEIL and the late Aljoe W. O'NEIL (1978) and niece of Olive BOND. Dear sister of Marjorie (Darrell) DENNIS, Sheila (Tom) MARTIN, and Douglas (Sandy JEFFERSON) O'NEIL, all of Saint Thomas. Aunt of Gordon Dennis, Michael (Tammy Gredig) Dennis, Neil (Tanya HOLCOMBE) DENNIS, Jennifer (Joel HAYES), Andrea MARTIN, and Mandy O'NEIL. At Chatham-Kent Health Alliance, Chatham, on Monday, May 30, 2005, Jean-Maurice CHARLEBOIS, age 81, of Chatham, beloved husband of Rosabel (PINSONNEAULT.) Born in Chatham on December 24, 1923, son of the late Antoinette (PERRON) and Leon CHARLEBOIS. He was a furrier and owned and operated Charlebois Furs for many years. Maurice was a member and Past Faithful Navigator of the Father James Assembly 4th Degree and St. Ursula's Council 9551 3rd Degree of the Knights of Columbus. A veteran of World War 2, Maurice was a member of the 17th Duke of York Royal Canadian Hussars, serving in Europe and belonged to Branch 28 of The Royal Canadian Legion. Past President of the Lion's Club, Maurice was also a member of le Club de l'amitié.
He will be sadly missed by: 5 children; Michel CHARLEBOIS of Innesfell, Elaine McDONALD and husband Steven of Janetville, Anne-Marie MILLS and husband Tom of London, Claudette KRIEGER and husband John of Chatham and Annette CHARLEBOIS and husband Brent BAKER of London, 7 grandchildren; Vincent, Brandon, Jacqueline, Daniel, Ashley, Katelynn and Nathan, 3 sisters: Jeanne d'Arc DOZOIS and husband Maurice, Gilberte GRISON and husband Phil and Simmone O'NEIL and husband Andy all of Chatham and 2 sisters-in-law Patricia and Thérèse CHARLEBOIS. Jennifer Lynn (KERR) SIMONSEN O'NEIL died Monday, July 4, 2005 at age 62, of cancer. She is survived by her husband of 19 years and companion of over 30 years, Erl O'NEIL of Sarnia, mother Evelyn KERR of Sarnia, son Karl SIMONSEN of Redmond, Washington, daughter Katy Moore SIMONSEN of West Lafayette, Indiana, daughter-in-law Kathleen Pierce SIMONSEN, son-in-law Douglas MOORE, grandchildren Sean and Karin MOORE, sister Nancy WALKER of Winnipeg, brother-in-law Ian WALKER, and their children Amy, Sophie, Lucy, Will and Joy. She was preceded in death by her father, W. Wyman KERR.
Jenny was born in Windsor, Ontario on July 21, 1942. She spent her high school years in Alberta, earning numerous awards for singing and acting, but returned to Ontario in 1960 to attend the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, where she earned the A.R.C.T. in performance singing in 1962. She moved to London, Ontario in 1975, where she attended the University of Western Ontario, receiving her B.A. in English in 1976 and her Honours Certificate in 1981. While in London she taught music and academic subjects privately, and was an active parent at London Central Secondary School. In 1982 she returned to Toronto to attend the Drama Centre at the University of Toronto, earning her M.A. in 1983. After teaching at Humber College for a few years she began teaching high school, which would be her calling for nearly 15 years. She taught English, Drama, Music and English as a Second Language at a variety of schools in the Peel/North York area, including Bramalea, C.W. Jeffries, W.L. MacKenzie, Avondale, and Earl Haig. She retired and moved to Sarnia in 2000. She was an avid gardener, a prolific composer of music and a playwright. Of 199 Hope Street East, Tavistock passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at Stratford General Hospital surrounded by his family. Jerry was born on October 15, 1925 in Sylvan, the son of the late William Thomas and Ella Chloe CAMPBELL) JOHNSON (1952.) Jerry was an avid sports enthusiast whose love of ball, hockey and racehorses provided many lasting memories and many wonderful Friendships. He was a member of Grace United Church in Tavistock and had also served his community as an active member of the Tavistock Men's Club and Board of Trade. Jerry farmed in his early years and later worked for Lewis Thomson and Sons in the fruit and vegetable business for 40 years. In his retirement, he and Pat spent their summers at their summer home, "Lakeside Resort", where he enjoyed his family, the birds, the sunsets and their many Friends. Suddenly at home, on Saturday October 8, 2005, at the age of 62 years. Beloved husband of Jean McLAUGHLIN. Dear father of Andrea, David and his fiancée Kathy ATKINSON and Brian. Dear brother of Jean and her husband the late Don O'NEIL, Gerard▲ and Maureen DENOBLE, Michael▲ and Liisa DENOBLE and Marie and Ryland EVANS. Fond uncle of several nieces and nephews. Passed away after a long and courageous battle with ill health on Wednesday November 2, 2005, in her 75th year. Micki was the beloved daughter of the late Charles and Pearl (née O'NEIL) MEEHAN. Cherished sister of Alice of Toronto, Paul and his wife Anne, and Grace and her husband Ron CANEY, all of Lindsay. Aunt of David, Greg, Pat, Mike, Trudy and predeceased by LuAnne. Mass of Christian Burial from Saint Mary's Church, 40 Russell Street East, Lindsay on Thursday, November 10th at 1: 00 p.m. Inurnment will take place at Saint Mary's Cemetery, Lindsay.
