and was a long time resident of Kipling Acres, where she was
much loved, and admired for her kind and cheerful disposition.
Kathy was sent to Canada, as an orphan, by the British Government,
with a boatload of young children in 1930, to work as a mother's
helper. She soon after joined the family of the late Edna and
Roy TASH, as a nanny for their daughters Norma
(McFADDEN/
PEARCE)
and Bette
(BARRETT/
ESCH.)
Kathy▼ lived with them in Montreal and
Toronto for 50 years, becoming a treasured member of the family,
and a 'second mother' to the girls. She was a beloved grandmother

in the Simcoe area and Insurance Appraiser of Antique and Classic

God blessed many people through Vera and He gave her a tremendous
gift to sense people's needs. Vera will be remembered for her
generosity, wit, wisdom, and her faith in her Messiah and His
Word. She is forever loved by her many Friends, family and associates.

at Saint John's York Mills Anglican Church, 19 Don Ridge Drive,
North York at 11 a.m. A reception will follow in the Garnsworthy
Room. Interment at Mount Pleasant Cemetery after the reception.

Passed away peacefully in her sleep at home in Powell River,
British Columbia, on Sunday March 27, 2005. Cecilie was born
in Southampton, England on October 26, 1913. Predeceased by her
loving husband, Douglas William in 1988 (Doug was the first Commissioner
of Parks and Recreation for North York. The Douglas Snow Aquatic
Centre is named in his honour). Survived by her sister Freda
and brother Leslie, and nephew Tom, all in England, and two daughters,
Jane (Dave) of Powell River and Susan of Kelowna, British Columbia.
Cecilie met Doug in England during World War 2, married October
31, 1945 and followed her husband to live in Willowdale in 1946.
In 1992, Cecilie moved to Kelowna to live near her daughter Susan.
Then moved to Powell River in November 2003 to live with her
other daughter Jane. Cecilie lived a full and rich life. All
who met her felt her love and warm, caring way. Cecilie was kind
and generous, and a true lady. She will be sadly missed by Friends
and family. Heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care Team and
Home Support in Powell River; you do an awesome job. To celebrate
Cecilie's life, a gathering was held at Selby House, 5300 Yukon
Avenue, Powell River, British Columbia., on March 31st, 2005.

Canadian Horse Artillery, were en route to Fort Lewis, Washington.,
and thence to the Korean War when their troop train collided
with an eastbound passenger express near Canoe River, British
Columbia Twelve soldiers were killed instantly, four died aboard

7-9 p.m. Sunday. Service will be held on Monday December 5 at
1: 00 p.m. at the Alma United Church. With Reverend

Passed away peacefully at Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto on Sunday,
December 11, 2005. Bill will be greatly missed by his beloved
wife, Dot (née
McQUEEN,) of 54 years. Loving father of Deborah
and Diane, devoted 'Papa' to Leslie and Lisa, respected father-in-law
to Bruce (Earley.) Loving brother of Betty

Uncle Bill will also be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Especially important to Bill were his many long time Friends
whom he and Dot shared many happy times with. Thank you to Dr.
HANNA, and the Critical Care Unit staff at Sunnybrook who were
