We once had something special
That money could not buy
We had a very special love
And had to say good-bye
The memories and the photos
Are all we have to touch

Whom we love and miss so much
Always loved and remembered by Marion PETCH and family, Fern CORNFIELD and family and Clara WILEY.

WILEY, Ruth (née FURLONG)
It is with quiet sorrow and consent that the family announces the passing of our mother: a little less than an angel and embodying great nobility of spirit. At the Brantford General Hospital, April 11, 2005, Ruth WILEY, in her 78th year; beloved wife of the late F.F. (Bud) WILEY; dear mother of Mary and Tony LAVALLEE of Burlington; Christopher WILEY and Cheryl KERNAGHAN of Paris Judith WILEY and Colin TREVITT of Mount Pleasant; Joe and Averil WILEY of Oakville; Helen and Bill QUINTON of Vancouver; predeceased by a son Paul; dear grandma to Nicholas, Benjamin and Ann LAVALLEE, Sarah Ruth TREVITT, Andrew, Eric and Victoria WILEY, Julia, Laurie, and Mary QUINTON; sister to Helen FURLONG of York Mills and the late Harry FURLONG of Scarborough. A devout wife and mother who became extraordinarily wise and discerning. She accepted what is, and in so doing knew the best thing to do in all circumstances. She was down to earth, inspiring, and hopeful. The truth will be heard, and it is this: Life is a mystery to be lived not a problem to be solved. Once again, a Resurrection has followed her Passion: be delighted to hear that she is now living in, and with Nobility. The family will receive Friends at the 'Thorpe Brothers Funeral Home and Chapel', 96 West Street, Brantford on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. with Parish Prayers at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Basil's Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street, Brantford on Saturday April 16, 2005 at 11 a.m. followed by cremation.
