Passed away peacefully at Versa Care in Lambeth of an age related
illness. Born and raised in London, Ontario, Alan had the passion
of his generation for the novetly of aviation. As a teenager
he earned a dollar per day working along the railway lines and
used it to pay for five dollar per hour flying lessons at the
London Airfield. He had already logged solo flights when he volunteered
with the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1939 and trained as a navigator.
After the war, he joined Bell Canada and held many managerial
positions during his 38 years of service.

Marie was a loving
wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was fully devoted to
her husband Bob for 66 years. Her children remember many happy
and carefree summer days spent with her at their cottage in Highgate
Springs, Vermont. She was known for her love of curling, her
warm smile, easy laughter and camaraderie with a close group
of women Friends in Montreal where she raised her family. She
delighted in her grandchildren, and even in years of her decline
with Alzheimer disease, her face would brighten in their presence.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the
staff of Melville Lodge for providing excellent care for Marie
in the last years of her life. A memorial service and reception
will be held on Thursday, July 21st from 2-4 at Snow Funeral
Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations

daughter, Janis, Vancouver; granddaughter, Omega. He was predeceased
by his loving wife of 66 years, Marie
McKIGGAN in July of this
year. Marie was the centre of Bob's life. Together, they raised
their two children and dog Timmy in the Montreal area, enjoying
curling with Friends at the Point Claire Curling Club in winter
and spending many carefree summer days at their family cottage
in Highgate Springs, Vermont. Bob worked for Mutual Life of Canada
for more than 40 years and was mortgage manager in Montreal for
most of his career. The couple moved to Toronto after Bob's retirement
and subsequently moved to Halifax in 1986 to be near their son,
Bill. They enjoyed their apartment on Willett Street, its good
neighbours and beautiful view of the Northwest Arm. Bob cared
for Marie there in the early phases of Alzheimer disease and
displayed great dignity and devotion until her death. A memorial
service and reception will be held on Wednesday, October 19 from
2-4 p.m. in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax.

Pat loved to dance, travel, play scrabble, do crossword puzzles,
cruise the Internet, her Friends, and most of all her family
and above all the Lord. Funeral service will be Saturday, April
2, 2005 at 1: 30 p.m. at The Church of Redeemer, Grosvenor and
Adelaide Streets, London. In lieu of flowers, donations to a

CROFT was born on January 15, 1921, the oldest
son of Ned
CROFT and Marian
SAYERS. He had two brothers Ted who
predeceased him, and Robert, both from Flesherton.
Glen was married to Dorothy
OTTEWELL, who died in 1951, along
with his baby son. He remarried in 1953 to Hazel
McKILLOP who
died in 1961 leaving behind a daughter Marian. In 1962 he married
Eleanor NICKERSON.
They parted ways in 1971 but he continued
to raise his daughter Diane.
Glen served in World War 2 with the 4th Anti-Tank, 5th Division
Infantry. He fought in England, North Africa, Italy, France,
Belgium, Holland and Germany. He kept in touch with his comrades,
phoning them often and attending reunions when possible, and
was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #333, Flesherton.
During his life he farmed in the Ceylon area, had a garage built
north of Flesherton for business purposes, hauled logs, snow
plowed in the area and spent over 30 years working for Franceschini
Bros. in Brampton. Due to back problems he was forced to retire.
During his retirement he would pick up cars for a used car dealer
and would be out visiting at the local businesses, restaurants
and his other Friends.
Glen was a strong willed and determined man who fought hard with
his health problems but on May 18, 2005 he lost the battle and
passed away at Grey Bruce Health Services in Markdale.
The visitation was held at the Fawcett Funeral Home on May 20.
The service was held at the Rock Mills Fellowship Baptist Church

2005 in the Coronary Care Unit, Queen Elizabeth 2nd, Halifax.
Born on July 21, 1922 in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, he was the son
of the late Ronald Hugh and Annie
(JOHNSON)
MacDONALD.
Hugh was
a Veteran of the Second World War in which he served overseas
as an officer. When he returned he studied medicine at Dalhousie
University and practiced as a neurologist for many years in Halifax.
He retired in 1997 and since 1998 resided at the Veterans' Memorial
Building in Halifax. He will be greatly missed by his daughter

from the Halifax Children's Hospital School of Nursing in 1946.
Following graduation, Yvonne worked with the Dalhousie Public
Health Clinic in tuberculosis research and also served as a private
duty nurse for paediatric and adult patients. Yvonne was a dedicated
Reach to Recovery Volunteer, Canadian Cancer Society, for over
25 years. Yvonne was a member of First United Church, Truro,
a United Church Women member and assisted with the youth choir
in the 1970's. A gracious, selfless and compassionate woman,
Yvonne devoted herself to her family and her community. Yvonne

memories of Helen with her family at the Edward R. Good Funeral
Home, 171 King Street South in Waterloo, on Monday, December
26, 2005 from 1-2 p.m. The Memorial Service to celebrate Helen's
life will follow in the Chapel at 2 p.m. with Reverend Bill
SHAFER
as celebrant. Following the service, Friends are invited to join
the family in the Fireside Reception Room of the funeral home.
