It is with great sadness that Marjory

announce the sudden passing of their mother, Christene

She was predeceased by her loving and beloved husband Russell

Chris was a legal secretary for many years before becoming employed
by the former Township of North Dorchester, as Deputy Clerk and
Deputy Treasurer. Upon her retirement she continued her involvement
with the Municipality, from 1988 to 1994. First as Deputy Reeve
and then by acclamation to Reeve. She was involved for many years
with the Central Board of the Dorchester United Church, was a
past President of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Donnybrook Branch
of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 513, and served on the board
of directors of the London Middlesex Children's Aid Society for
1988 to 1994 and the Peel Region Board of Children's Air Society
from 1994-1997. Chris had taken a keen interest in politics at
all levels. She also loved music from a very early age. At Chris's
request there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service to celebrate
her life will be held at the Dorchester United Church, 4100 Catherine
St. Dorchester on Thursday, March 31, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Art
CHOLMONDELEY officiating. If desired donations to the Dorchester
United Church or to the Children's Aid Society of Middlesex London
would be very much appreciated by the family. (Bieman Funeral
Home, Dorchester in charge of arrangements). When I come to the
end of the road and the sun is set for me I want no rights in
a gloom filled room. Why cry for a soul set free. Miss me a little
but not too long and not with your head bowed low. Remember the
laughter and joy we shared and lovingly let me go.
