COLLINS, Isabel " Peggy" (ACTON)
Peacefully at her home on Thursday, May 5th, 2005, in her 79th year, the former Peggy ACTON of Port Elgin. Loving wife of Charlie COLLINS. Dear mother of Marilyn and her husband Roger WHETSTONE of Paisley, Kathy CLOUTIER/CLOUTHIER and Chris McCAW of Port Elgin, Connie and her husband Dave GRIEVE of Burgoyne, and Gail and her husband Bruce ASHTON of Port Elgin. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Terry and Sue, Scott and Catherine, Jim, Mike, Lindsay and Gabe, Stacey, and Jessie, and by her great-grandchildren Brad, Nick, Laura, Gracelyn, Blair and Amanda. Dear sister of Eva and Jim CRAWFORD of Walkerton, and Rex and Mary ACTON of Paisley. Sister-in-law of Gordon TANNER and Sandra ACTON. She is predeceased by her sister Iona TANNER, her brother Jack ACTON and by her parents Milton and Jessie ACTON. Friends may call at the W. Kent Milroy Port Elgin Chapel, 510 Mill Street, Port Elgin from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday. Funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Saturday at 11: 00 a.m. with the Reverend Janet SINCLAIR officiating. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Following the interment, a reception with the family will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Br. #340, Port Elgin. COLLINS,Marjorie Ellen (née CORISTINE)
Marjorie Ellen COLLINS (née CORISTINE) passed away peacefully at home on June 10, 2005 surrounded by her loving family. Pre-deceased by her husband Maurice O. COLLINS in 1978 and sister Ada ACTON. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Brenda L. SHERRELL and her spouse David BOWER, Susan D. GREGORY and her husband Jim, her grandchildren Jay, Jamie and companion Mike, Shawn, Kelly and fiance Peter, Lucas and wife Tracey, Saul, and Misha, sister Elsie FISHER, and numerous nieces, nephews, greatgrandchildren, and Friends. Daughter of the late Chester and Ethel CORISTINE of Watford, Ontario.
Marjorie was a teacher, member of Riverside United Church, and participant in various activities at the Boys and Girls Memorial Club. The family would like to thank Dr. SCILLY and the Victorian Order of Nurses Palliative Care Team. Visitation will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel (1997 Dundas St. E.) on Sunday June 12th, 2005, from 7-9 p.m. with the service being held in the chapel on Monday at 1 pm with Reverend Kathy FRASER officiating. In lieu of flowers those wishing to make a donation in memory of Marjorie are asked to consider The Canadian Diabetes Association, one of her favourite charities. BAILEY, Helen Karyl (neé JAMIESON)
Born December 15, 1943, passed away peacefully August 18, 2005 from complications following heart surgery. Survived by husband of 39 years Kirk Leslie BAILEY, son Alexander (Sandy) BAILEY and daughter-in-law Heather Erin BRODIE and grand_son Quinn Brodie Alexander BAILEY. Dearly missed by sisters Mary Elizabeth and husband Bob GOODINGS of Toronto, their daughters Debbie and Anne, Patricia JAMIESON of Guelph, Nancy ACTON of Stoney Creek, Karyl's extended Myles/Smith family, and Friends at The School of Business at Ryerson University. Karyl was a student at Branksome Hall School for Girls in Toronto where she had many Friends. Everywhere that Karyl worked and lived she was considered the "ray of sunshine which brightened up everyone's life". Karyl was a Gold Cord Guide and was a Brownie and Beaver Leader. A Memorial Service following cremation will be held at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens, 9th Line (just west of Highway 403) and Dundas Street in Oakville, on August 25, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment will be at Glen Oaks. In lieu of flowers, which Karyl loved, donations in her name can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.

Cherished mother of David (Margaret,) Ken, Jim (Robin), Bill (Debbie). Loving Gram of Susan, Lynda, Lindsey, Leslie, Alannah, Kali-Sky, and Travis and great-grandmother of Heidi. Daughter of the late Harold and Elizabeth (Bessie) ACTON of Uxbridge. Sister of Keith (Nancy), the late Maurice (Doreen), Grace NICHOLLS (Ken,) and Jeanette ACTON. It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of Phyllis ACTON, on Friday, August 26, 2005, at the age of 72. Born in Detroit, Michigan, November 12, 1932. Loving wife for 51 years of Richard J. ACTON of Mississauga. Predeceased by her parents Doris and Earl CORRIGAN of Detroit, Michigan. Loving mother and cherished by her children Maribeth MARTIN of Barrie, Ontario, Kelly ACTON (Renate) of Tarpon Springs, Florida and Alyson PRAUGHT (Chris) of Oakville, Ontario. Much loved and devoted grandmother to Jeffrey, Brittany, Penny, Maddy and Amy. Dear sister and sister-in-law to Sharon HEBERT (Bill) of Windsor, Ontario, Jimmy PARKER (Robyn) of Michigan and June and the late Ron SSAINTERRE of Windsor, Ontario. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, extended family and Friends. After a lifetime of teaching us the nature of a warm and generous spirit, and unconditional love, the lessons continued to the end, where we learned about grace and dignity in the face of suffering. All are invited to celebrate her life at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10 North of Queen Elizabeth Way) on Monday from 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2005 at 11 a.m. at St. Patrick's Church, 921 Flagship Dr., Mississauga (at Tomken). Of Harriston and formerly of Toronto passed away peacefully at Stratford Memorial Hospital on Wednesday, December 7, 2005 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Ethel (GIBSON) ACTON (2001.) Loving father of Noreen and her husband Douglas SOCKETT of R.R.#1, Palmerston. Fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and Friends. Predeceased by his sisters, Viola DURE and Margaret WESTCOTT. To honour John's wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will receive Friends at the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston Funeral Chapel, 267 Main Street West, Palmerston, Ontario on Saturday, December 10, 2005 from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. Private interment to follow in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto.
