LINDENFIELD, Dr. Rita Graham
At St. Michael's Hospital on Wednesday October 12, 2005. Survived by her sister Frances LINDENFIELD, her nieces Mary Margaret GANNON, Elizabeth Ann TAILOR/TAYLOR and Jacquelyn ASP. Fondly remembered by many great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Charles LINDENFIELD of Parkhill, Ontario, brother Dr. C.E. LINDENFIELD of Gravenhurst, Ontario and sister Mrs. Marianne DONOHUE of London Ontario. Dr. Rita LINDENFIELD was the former head of social workers at the Clarke Institute and a professor at the University of Toronto School of Social Work. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Saint John's Chapel of St. Michael's Cathedral, 200 Church Street, Saturday Morning at 10: 30 a.m. Following the Mass a reception will be held at the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 Blocks south of Lawrence). In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Ophthalmic Department of the University of Toronto.

Peacefully at home in his 82nd year with his beloved wife, Catherine (née GUILFOYLE) by his side, Vittorio CAPITANO passed away on Sunday, February 13th, 2005. Devoted husband of 57 years and father of Vittorio (Denise), Catherine (Doug), Quick, Bernie (Rowena), Philip (Debbie), Rita (Les) ROSE, Patricia ANDREW, Theresa (Tim ASPDEN), John (Cathy), Don (Shelly) and Susan (Scott) FLETCHER. Dear brother of Tony (Dorothy) CAPITANO and brother-in-law of Betty CAPITANO. Predeceased by his brothers Joseph (1973,) Frank (1996), Gus (1998), Vittorio (1922) and his sisters Mary LOREE (1998,) Theresa ADAM/ADAMS (1999,) Helen MARSHALL (2002) and Amelia CAPITANO (2003.) He will be sadly missed by his 18 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, extended family and Friends. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 o'clock. Funeral Mass at St. Peter's Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Dear father and grandfather of Jim and his wife Ruth and their children Nancy (Nathan) and David (Michelle); Tom and his wife Kathy and their children Julie (Jeff), Jane (Christopher) and Jill, all of Curries. Sherry Lynn of Saint Thomas, on Sunday, June 26, 2005 at the St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, in her 42nd year. Dearly loved mother of Kristi Lee, Johnathan Andrew, Coty James, Gregory Anthony, Torie Anne and Lucan Daniel, all of Saint Thomas and the late James Robert ROBINSON. Loved daughter of Robert S. ROYAL of London, Doris Margaret WEST of London and Mary Lou CARD of London. Dear sister of Judy MILLS of Thamesford, Donna HUDDLSTON of London, Kim ASPDEN of Petrolia, Ronald ROYAL of London, Robert CARD of London and Terri Lee CARD of London. Sadly missed by a number of step-brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles and cousins. Sherry was born in London, Ontario on September 10, 1963. She has lived in Saint Thomas over 25 years and worked as a lead hand at Contran Manufacturing Ltd. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin St. Saint Thomas where funeral service will be held Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow, with interment of ashes with her son in Union Cemetery. ASPELL, Peter Noël Lawson
With great sorrow we announce the passing on December 28, 2004 of Peter ASPELL (b. 1918,) great painter, sculptor, humanist and friend. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Joy, children Carl, Emily, John, Lenore, Andy and Byron, stepsons Christopher and Derek, grandchildren, nephew John HERRING, ex wife Carol, and countless cherished Friends. Predeceased by sister Alice (2004) and first wife Dorothy (1961). His spirit lives on through his prolific art, which spanned more than six decades, and the vibrant force with which he embraced his passions and engaged his family and Friends. There is no service at Peter's request. Heartfelt thanks to all his and Joy's Friends and family for their tremendous support during his recent illness. Suddenly at her home in Aurora on Monday, January 31, 2005. Marg, in her 68th year, beloved wife of Alex S. ANSELL. Loving mother of Kerry and her husband Steven GARNER of Huntsville, Lynne WHITE/WHYTE and her companion Tony FITZSIMMONS of Newmarket and Scott and his fiancée Maria KURMEY of Aurora. Marg was very outgoing and active in the community and will be sadly missed especially by her Friends in bowling, euchre and the Optimists International organization. ASPINALL, Gerald Oliver
Passed away on September 11, 2005. Gerald is survived by Joyce, his wife of 52 years, by sister Gwenda, daughter Jill, son John and grand_son Michael, and their families.
Gerald was a professor of organic chemistry at the University of Edinburgh, Scotland, at Trent University, Peterborough, and at York University, Toronto. He served as chair of the chemistry department at both Trent and York universities. He was a noted researcher in the chemistry of carbohydrates, with collaborators around the world. Gerald was appointed Distinguished Research Professor at York University in 1988, and he was elected a Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada in 1991.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 16, at 10 a.m., at St. Patrick's Anglican Church, Willowdale. In lieu of flowers, Gerald requested that donations be made to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.

MILLS, Donna Margaret (MacARTHUR)
Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, October 29, 1952. It is with sadness we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and friend. After a lengthy illness Donna passed away in Toronto on Friday, April 15th, 2005, while waiting for a lung transplant. She resided in Toronto for 16 years prior to returning home to Nova Scotia four years ago. She will be greatly missed by her many Friends in Ontario. She renewed old Friendships with cherished Friends on her return to Nova Scotia who all helped immensely during her illness. Her art sustained her during the later part of her illness where she met and cherished many new Friends at art class in Lr. Sackville. Donna was a very special person, sister and friend. She was predeceased by her parents David and Margaret (ARMITAGE) MILLS. Survived by sisters Diane and Linda (Wayne) ASPINALL, brothers Bob, David and Bill, nephews Craig MILLS, Dexter ASPINALL, niece Carleigh ASPINALL and special friend Josh GOLDING in Ontario. A Celebration of Life service will be held in Lower Sackville, May 7th, 2005, 11: 00 a.m. at Knox United Church, 567 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, Rev. Robert E. Chapman officiating. Cremation has taken place. A private family committal to be held at a later date. "Hope arouses, as nothing else can arouse, a passion for the possible."

Dr. Fred ATTRIDGE passed away in his 97th year. He served his community as an optometrist for 55 years, and was a pioneer in the development of the optometric profession in Ontario. For many years, Dr. ATTRIDGE was a member of Windermere United Church, the Kiwanis Club of Casa Loma, and the Toronto Movie and Video Club.
