at the University of Toronto School of Social Work. A Memorial
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Saint John's Chapel
of St. Michael's Cathedral, 200 Church Street, Saturday Morning
at 10: 30 a.m. Following the Mass a reception will be held at
the Trull "North Toronto" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704
Yonge Street (5 Blocks south of Lawrence). In lieu of flowers,
remembrances may be made to the Ophthalmic Department of the
University of Toronto.

be held Thursday at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation to follow, with interment
of ashes with her son in Union Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday

Passed away on September 11, 2005. Gerald is survived by Joyce,
his wife of 52 years, by sister Gwenda, daughter Jill, son John
and grand_son Michael, and their families.
Gerald was a professor of organic chemistry at the University
of Edinburgh, Scotland, at Trent University, Peterborough, and
at York University, Toronto. He served as chair of the chemistry
department at both Trent and York universities. He was a noted
researcher in the chemistry of carbohydrates, with collaborators
around the world. Gerald was appointed Distinguished Research
Professor at York University in 1988, and he was elected a Fellow
of the Royal Society of Canada in 1991.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 16, at 10
a.m., at St. Patrick's Anglican Church, Willowdale. In lieu of
flowers, Gerald requested that donations be made to the Toronto
Hospital for Sick Children.

Born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, October 29, 1952. It is with sadness
we announce the passing of our beloved sister, aunt and friend.
After a lengthy illness Donna passed away in Toronto on Friday,
April 15th, 2005, while waiting for a lung transplant. She resided
in Toronto for 16 years prior to returning home to Nova Scotia
four years ago. She will be greatly missed by her many Friends
in Ontario. She renewed old Friendships with cherished Friends
on her return to Nova Scotia who all helped immensely during
her illness. Her art sustained her during the later part of her
illness where she met and cherished many new Friends at art class
in Lr. Sackville. Donna was a very special person, sister and
friend. She was predeceased by her parents David and Margaret
