Chapel, 709 Wonderland road North, where the funeral service
will be conducted on Wednesday, June 15th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m.,
with Reverend Philip Newman officiating. Private interment of ashes
at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Those wishing to make a donation

others. Herb was born in Deal, Kent, England on Ferbruary 24,
1926, the son of the late Samuel and Dorothy
(AXON)
SMITH. He
worked as a welder, millright and after retiring worked at Zehr's.
Herb served in the British Royal Navy (World War 2 veteran) and
was a member of the Branch 41 of the Royal Canadian Legion, Elgin
Regiment (Band member) and the Royal Navy Club, Deal, Kent, England.
He maintained the veterans section of South Park Cemetery and
received a civic award from the City of Saint Thomas for his effort.
A Public memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home,
45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Monday at 11: 00 a.m. Visitation
Monday from 10: 00-11:00 a.m. Cremation has taken place. Flowers
gratefully declined, with remembrances to the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or the Lung Association.
