September 26, 1946 to March 12, 2005 in Picton, Ontario
Michael left the earth as he lived on it: gently, passionately, and adventurously. He fought a valiant battle with cancer caused from exposure to asbestos. Thanks to all of his caregivers.
He is loved truly, madly and tenderly by his wife Victoria Margaret RYCE and two dogs, Stuka and Pongo. He is deeply loved by his children - daughter Caley and granddaughter Teya, son Brendan, daughter Heather, and daughter Briare and grand_son Eli with his former wife Barbara TAILOR/TAYLOR.
Loving kindness came from his in-laws, Peter and Allana RYCE, Sr., Margaret and Curly KENNEDY, Peter RYCE Jr., Julie and little Peter, along with the Scottish clan of Maureen, Janetta and Tom. Aunt Alexandra DYER, sister Donna TAILOR/TAYLOR, his best friend Peter McLAREN, and a long list of buddies, enjoyed many excellent times with Michael, especially his puns. Cheers.
Michael's love of the outdoors inspired him to canoe the Arctic and many places in North America, especially his favourite Algonquin Park. Now you are one with everything, darling.
A Celebration of Michael's life will take place at Cressy United Church, 20 minutes south of Picton on Monday, March 21st at 2 p.m. Friends may call at the church from 1 p.m. If desired, donations to Pathways to Independence or Algonquin Park would be appreciated by the family, by cheque only please.
