Despite
years of ill health and pain, due to physical handicaps, Beryl
pursued many talents. At 63 she graduated from University of
Western Ontario with a Bachelors Degree in Philosophy. She was
active for 42 years in Christadelphian missionary work, travelling
throughout Canada, Britain, and Europe, learning German, French,
and Hebrew to assist her translation work. She is remembered
by family, Friends, and church community for her generous, selfless
nature, determination to live life to the fullest, and sense
of humour. She will be sorely missed by all whose lives she touched.
Services celebrating her life were held Monday, June 13. Donations
to Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital Foundation appreciated
by the family.

law firm 'Humphrey, Locke, Ecclestone and Kane'. He was a founding
member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association of Ontario and served
for many years on the board of Clifton House. He was a man of
high principles who never turned a client away, often working
'pro bono'. Gord looked for the good in people and always brought
out the best in them. 'Eccy's' brusque demeanour belied a warm,
shy, loving man with a keen mind. He kept his renowned wit and
good humour to the end, joking with those around him in his final
moments. More comfortable in overalls than a suit, he was always
the first to offer help to a friend or neighbour from digging

Concrete Block Company before joining Newman Bros. Ltd., General
Contractors, founded by his grandfather, Jabez, in 1878. Jim
became office manager and then president of the company. He was
an active and dedicated alderman on City Council for six years.
He was a zealous participant in numerous construction associations.
In later years, he was on the Board of Directors and Board of
Governors of the Shaver Hospital and served devotedly for seventeen
years. He had been a member of the Niagara Falls Club, St. Catharines
Golf and Curling Club and a long time member of the St. Catharines
Club. The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. Earl
HUNT who has been so attentive and caring, and to the administrative
staff, nurses, aides and all workers who attended Jim with competence
and kindness at West Park Health Clinic. The family will receive

of getting out of school early to sail over a weekend with his

Bill is now at peace, at last reunited with his wife Hilda whom
he missed so much, and to be happy amongst all those who have
gone before, confident in the knowledge he as a good man, loving
husband, devoted father and grandfather. He will be missed, but
always remembered. Bill and Hilda were former residents of Willowdale,
Barrie, and Trenton. The majority of Bill's working years were
with Maclean-Hunter Publishing in the Lansing plant. As requested
by the family, cremation has taken place. Burial of cremated

Passed away suddenly at age 77 in the early hours of April 25
after a quiet day at his home in 'his paradise' nestled in the
hills of Mulmur. A graduate of Osgoode, 'The Silver Fox' practiced
law for over forty years, much of it as a member of the prominent
law firm, 'Humphrey, Locke, Ecclestone and Kane'. He was a founding
member of the Criminal Lawyers' Association of Ontario and served
for many years on the board of Clifton House. He was a man of
high principles who never turned a client away, often working
'pro bono.' Gord looked for the good in people and always brought
out the best in them. 'Eccy's' brusque demeanor, belied a warm,
shy, loving man, with a keen mind. He kept his renowned wit and
good humour to the end, joking with those around him in his final
moments. More comfortable in overalls than a suit, he was always
the first to offer help to a friend or neighbour from digging
a ditch to moving a dock. A loving husband, adored by his wife,
