Grandmother of Rick ERICKSON of Chelsea, Michigan, Lynn CHAUVEAU of France, Mark and Jamie GREEN of Saint Thomas, Tyler and Lucas HANEMAN of Kanata. She was born February 14, 1924, the daughter of the late William and Emily MacROBERTS of Nova Scotia. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas, until Monday morning and then to Holy Angels Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 4: 00 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the London Regional Cancer Clinic.

IRWIN, Robert Willard
Robert Willard IRWIN, formerly of Bayfield, currently residing in Cambridge passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on March 21, 2005, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Survived by beloved wife, Jeannine DAOUST, also of Cambridge, mother Milyena STURGEON, son Robert W. IRWIN (Melody), Sandy ERICKSON (Del), Andrew ERICKSON, Luanne VAN BEERS (Paul), Lydia ERICKSON- KOYLE, grandchildren Faythe Elayne and Robert Wylie, many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by beloved step-father E. Walter ERICKSON, Uncle Glen STURGEON, dear friend, Harold SMITH. Memorial visitation will be held at T. Little Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 223 Maine Street East, Cambridge (623-1290), on Wednesday, March 23, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. in the funeral chapel. Dearly loved father of Joanne and her husband Ron ERICKSON and Doug and his wife Donna, all of Saint Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Kim GOODALL (Ron;) Scott ERICKSON; Lisa SNETSELAAR (Ryk); Cathy HUMPHREYS (Dave) and Dave PENHALE (Becky). Loved great-grandfather of Matthew, Lexy, Kody, Katie, Megan, Mark and Emma. Also survived by one sister Marion PENHALE, two nieces and a nephew and several cousins. John was born in Yarmouth Township on the home farm on September 17, 1914, and his passion were his family, farming, woodworking and volunteering for Child and Parent Resource Institute. He was a member of Yarmouth Centre United Church, was a public accountant and past director with Yarmouth Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Passed away at Valleyview on December 22, 2005 in his 90th year. She was the beloved wife of 70 years of the late John Campbell PENHALE - (November 4, 2005.) Dearly loved mother of Joanne and her husband Ron ERICKSON and Doug and his wife Donna, all of Saint Thomas. Cherished grandmother of Kim GOODALL (Ron;) Scott ERICKSON; Lisa SNETSELAAR (Ryk); Cathy HUMPHREYS (Dave); and Dave PENHALE (Becky.) Loved grandmother of Matthew, Lexy, Kody, Katie, Megan, Mark, and baby Emma. Also survived by one sister-in-law Marion PENHALE, two nieces and a nephew and several cousins. Predeceased by her parents John and Lulu (GRACEY) VAN PATTER, two brothers and their wives - Bob VAN PATTER (Betty) and Ray VAN PATTER (Dorothy) and two sisters-in-law, Audrey and Eileen PENHALE. Born in Malahide Township on the home farm on August 7, 1916. She was actively involved with John and Doug and their dairy farm for many years. She so enjoyed her involvement with the Imperial Order of the Daughters of the Empire and Women's Institute. She was an honourary life member of North Yarmouth Women's Institute, past District President of East Elgin Wisconsin, and charter member of the Yarmouth Glen Women's Institute. She sold real estate for 25 years and worked for John Luft's Appraisal Office, retiring at 82 years of age. She was a member of Yarmouth Centre United Church and past choir director and organist for many years. Alma is resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas where visitation will be held on December 23 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral service will take place at Williams on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Pastor Don MacPHERSON officiating. It is with deep sadness our family announces the sudden death of Darryl Wayne CRUICKSHANK on Saturday, March 12, 2005 in his 58th year at the Ottawa Civic Hospital, Ottawa, Ontario. He was the beloved son of Jean of Brantford and the late Gordon (February 7, 2003). He was the proud father of Corry and her husband Darrell ERICKSON of Calgary. Darryl leaves his loving sisters Colleen DAVIS and her husband Rob of Kenya and Sandra HOWLETT and her husband Jim of Guelph. His proudest moments were the births of his grand_sons Davin and Joshua of Calgary. Darryl will be sadly missed by his aunts, nieces and nephews, along with their children and many Friends and co-workers throughout Canada. We will all miss his humour and joy of life. Friends will be welcomed at the Dwayne D. Budgell Funeral Home, 1105 Rest Acres Road, Paris, on Thursday from 1-2 p.m. Funeral Service in the Chapel on Thursday at 2 p.m., followed by interment in the Paris Cemetery. Passed away suddenly on Thursday, January 6, 2005, of cardiac arrest at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto, Ontario. Göran was greatly loved and will be greatly missed by his wife Helen, children Eleanor, Marie-Louise, Christian, Patrik, Jonathon, Matthew, his brother and sister-in-law Thorbjorn and Lisbet, step-father Einar, as well as many Friends and relatives in Sweden and Canada. A First Class Pilot for Air Canada for over 30 years, Göran was brave and courageous throughout a long battle with a serious back injury. Donations gratefully accepted for the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario. Friends may call at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge Street (at Goulding, south of Steeles), on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel Thursday at 3 p.m., and at a later date, in Vancouver and Sweden. OLDFIELD, Winnifred "Winnie" Mary (née PATTISON)
Winnifred (Winnie) Mary PATTISON was born in McIntyre on April 20, 1922, the first daughter of John and Minnie (BISHTON.) She had two brothers, Allister and George, and one sister Eileen (Johnson), all predeceased. Winnie lived in the Flesherton area and attended public school at Springhill and then Flesherton high school (on the Macphail site). She worked as a helper at Duncan's farm north of Corbetton, and in the original Munshaw House in Flesherton. She married Jack OLDFIELD in 1940, and they were to share more than 50 years together until his death in Winnie and Jack farmed on the Oldfield farm on Highway 10 near Corbetton. They had four daughters: Pat, Marie, Margaret and Janice. In 1969-70, the family moved to a new house on Victoria Street in Dundalk. They became well-known business people in the area, operating Shell Oil and a coal business until 1979.
In retirement, Winnie and Jack travelled extensively and did comparisons on farming all over the world, South America, Cuba, Australia, Scandinavia, and Great Britain, along with travels throughout Canada and the United States.
Their daughter Marie married David HENRY in 1978 and granddaughters Cara and Blaire were born. Daughter Janice married Wayne CROFT in 1984 and gave Winnie and Jack a grand_son, Ryne. The grandchildren spent many happy hours with their grandmother, sharing news from their days at school.
Winnie enjoyed gardening at her home on Victoria Street as well as time spent in the summer at the cottage at Lake Eugenia. She was a part of the United Church Women for well over 50 years, first in Corbetton and of late in Dundalk. She was active in knitting and quilting groups and donated knit goods through community groups each year. Winnie had many Friends in the seniors' circle, and enjoyed the lunches and dinners. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
After her passing on Friday, February 4, 2005, visitation and funeral were held at McMillan and Jack Funeral home in Dundalk. Rev. Janet ERIKSEN led the service. The music was provided by Anne OLDFIELD (niece,) and the Proton Tones (Donald and Bonnie BLACK, Isabell FRANKS and Shirley RICHARDSON, accompanied by Maxine COPELAND.)
Rev. ERIKSEN shared an e-mail from Lawna SHERRITT in Nova Scotia. Cara HENRY provided sketches of her grandmother's life. Pallbearers were nephews, Jim OLDFIELD, Ted PATTISON, Peter JOHNSON, and family friend Ron MacCANNELL. The grandchildren, Cara and Blaire HENRY and Ryne CROFT were the flower bearers. After the service, luncheon and fellowship followed at Dundalk Legion Br. 285, with refreshments by the Dundalk United Church Women There will be spring interment in Dundalk Cemetery.

GILLIES, William Milton
William (Bill) Milton GILLIES of Dundalk passed away in the Shelburne Residence on March 12, 2005 in his 85th year. He leaves to mourn his passing, his wife of 53 years, Muriel (TAILOR/TAYLOR) GILLIES and five children - Bob (Ann) GILLIES, Dundalk; Shirley (Jim) PHILLIPS, Columbus, Ohio; Judy, Etobicoke; Tom (Liane) GILLIES, Dundalk and Helen (Dean) PATE, Mansfield; and twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Bill was the third child of the late Mary (WRIGHT) and Milton GILLIES, and attended S.S.#10 Proton, and is survived by a brother, Jim (Mae) GILLIES, Newmarket, and three sisters -Dorothy (Jim) SCOTT, Minesing; Islay BESLEY, Shelburne and Barbara (Arvo) KAASALAINEN, Minden; and a sister-in-law Gladys (GILLIES) TOMPKINS, Calgary. He was predeceased by a sister Rillie and her husband, Nelson RATHBUN, a brother, Don, Calgary, and a brother-in-law, Rev. Bruce BESLEY, Shelburne. Several nieces and nephews will also mourn his passing.
Bill and Muriel were married on November 3, 1951 in New Toronto and they farmed on the family farm on Concession 12, Proton Township in the home Bill built in 1951. They attended Bethel United Church until it closed and then attended Dundalk United Church. Bill was active in community events and was Past President of the Dundalk District Agricultural Society where he had been awarded a Service Diploma. He enjoyed playing cards, modern square dancing, travelling, etc. In 1985 they retired to their new home he built in Dundalk, and their home was open to many family gatherings. Bill enjoyed tinkering and got great satisfaction from making his float "The Old Farmer and Priscilla, Jed and Jake" for many parades.
The funeral was held in the Dundalk United Church on March 14 with Reverend Janet ERIKSEN officiating, assisted by Pastor Ann GILLIES. Mallory GILLIES (granddaughter) sang "Amazing Grace" and words of Remembrances were given by niece, Islay SCOTT, and sister Islay BESLEY. Jim PHILLIPS read "Tributes to My Dad" contributed by each of Bill's children. The Compact Disk of Trevor Baker "When God was Making Daddies" was played.
The pallbearers were grand_sons, Steven GILLIES and David KENNAWAY, and nephews, Jim and Harry SCOTT, Don GILLIES, and Barry RATHBUN. Flower-bearers were granddaughters, Mallory, Mandi and Sierra GILLIES and Melissa MOORE.
Interment was in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dundalk. Many donations were received for Dundalk United Church, Markdale Hospital Building Fund and other charities.

Loving Gramma to Bradley, Steven, Brittany, Christopher, Camille, and Nicole. Survived by her beloved sister and friend Ivy HARTFORD and special niece Shirley ERIKSON. Dear sister to the late Frances McKENNA. Former wife of the late Gordon David WAITE. Survived by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. Trudy was born to Emma and Francis KILLAM on February 26, 1922 and raised in Richvale, Ontario. She attended Winnipeg Bible College in her twenties and later married and settled in Scarborough, Ontario, where she raised her family, taught piano and provided bookkeeping and accounting services to many different Toronto area businesses.
