ERJAVEC,
Antonija
On Saturday, May 7, 2005, at the age of 67, Antonija passed away
peacefully in Markham, Ontario with grace and dignity, surrounded
by her family. Loving wife and best friend of the late Anton.
Loving mother of Mary and her husband, John, of Toronto, Martina
and her husband, Bernie, of Markham, Marta of Minnesota, and
Tony of Toronto. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren
Diana, Matthew, Andrew, Steven, Michael, Mary-Frances, Kaitlin
and Jenna. Dear sister of Marica and Alojz of Slovenija. Predeceased
by her brothers Joe of Pickering, Ivan, Tony and sister Ivanka
of Straza of Slovenija. She is survived by her Aunt Ivanka of
Toronto and her beloved Aunt Toncka and Uncle Jaka
KOVACIC, and
cousins of Ohio, Arizona, and Slovenija. Toncka worked variously
as a nanny, a nurse's aide at Scarborough General Hospital, a
driving instructor, and for over twenty years as a factory assembler
at Amphenol Canada. Toncka will be remembered and cherished by
her family and the Slovenian community as a person of tremendous
generosity and compassion. She selflessly poured herself out
for others with passion and tenderness, and embraced life's challenges
with faith, courage, and integrity. She will be sorely missed
by all. A heartfelt thanks to the nursing and medical staff of
St. Joseph's, St. Michael's, and Sunnybrook Hospitals. Special
prayers and blessings to all the nurses and caregivers of Markham-Stouffville's
1-East Palliative Care Ward for their professionalism, sensitivity,
compassion, and kindness in our mother's illness. Their goodness
and care will never be forgotten. Friends may call at the Ridley
Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Boulevard West, Toronto, 416-259-3705
on Monday, May 9, 2005 from 6-9 p.m., and Tuesday, May 10, 2005
