On June 29th, 2005 Marion passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital after a brief illness. Marion was a loving wife to George, a devoted and proud mother of David (predeceased 1956), Patti ERWIN- WELSH (predeceased 2000,) and of Mark and a new and treasured friend and companion to Lyne. She was also a beloved sister to Patricia LLOYD and brother-in-law Cliff. Marion was an adoring and passionate grandmother to David and Stephanie WELSH. Marion was also a dear aunt to John, Bob and Bruce KEMP and Barbara BAILEY as well as Judy BENEDETTI, Sharon SKUTOVICH and Linda LAILICH. A Celebration of her Life will be held at Forest Grove United Church, 43 Forest Grove Drive (off Page Avenue, south of Finch-North York) on Friday, July 8th, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff of the Critical Care Unit of North York General Hospital for their exemplary care and sensitivity. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Critical Care Unit of North York General Hospital would be greatly appreciated.

SCOTT, Douglas Erwin
It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Douglas Erwin SCOTT on Sunday, November 20, 2005 at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre following surgery. Doug was the cherished husband of Heather Jean SCOTT (née SNELL,) beloved father of Kelly Elizabeth LAWTON (Dr. Eric FONBERG) and Kieran Victoria STACEY, proud Poppy to Lindsay Ann STACEY, stepfather to Steven James POWLEY and Jeffrey Clinton POWLEY and the only son of the late Gerald Borden SCOTT and Anna-Mae (Ann) ERWIN. He is fondly remembered by his Friends and all the Scotts in Kingston, Ontario. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), one hour before the service to be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 23rd. Donations in Doug's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 1400-522 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 2R5.

ERWIN, Bernard " Bun" Otho
Retired Toronto Firefighter. Entered into rest at Soldiers' Memorial Hospital, on February 25, 2005. Bun in his 77th year, was the beloved husband of Joan. He will be sadly missed by his children, grandchildren, family and Friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Sunday, February 27, 2005 from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 519, Coboconk, Ontario. If desired, memorial donations to the Soldiers' Memorial Hospital Renal Unit, Orillia would be appreciated by the family.

Peacefully at Headwaters Health Care Centre on Monday, March 21st, 2005 in her 77th year. Wife of the late Victor E. WATKINS loving mother of Lynda and Terry ERWIN, Ron WATKINS, Bob and Ursula WATKINS, Vicki and Ted KELLOWAY, Heather and Rick McKEE, Laurene and Charlie RUTLEDGE and Allison and Jody CUMMINGS; predeceased by her daughter Mary-Ann; sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; loved sister of Merle MARTIN, Jessie and Gord COURTNEY, Ivadelle LAW, Delbert RUSK, Laurene and Leonard WALKER, Clarence and Gloria RUSK, Glen and Jeanette RUSK and Raymond and Sylvia RUSK; predeceased by her sisters Irene, Margaret and Marie. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at Dods and McNair Funeral Home and Chapel, 21 First Street, Orangeville (519-941-1392) on Tuesday, March 22nd from 7-9 p.m. and Wednesday, March 23rd from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A celebration of Wilma's life will be held on Thursday, March 24th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Mom's coffee shop was always open to family and Friends. HOCKING, Marjorie (née McCARTY)
Passed away peacefully at Bridgepoint Health Centre on Friday, June 3, 2005, at the age of 88 years, with her children at her side. Dearly beloved wife and best friend for 62 years of David James HOCKING, who predeceased by her on September 10, 2004. Lovingly remembered by son David, daughter Dianne CLARK and friend Art WEIS, and grand_sons Geoff and Tim CLARK. Will be missed by her dear sisters-in-law Margaret and Dr. Jean ERWIN. Predeceased by her sisters Gladys, Nellie and Verna, and her brothers Chuck, John, Norman, Roy and Stan. A service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 with a reception to follow at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.). Visitation will be held between 11 a.m. and 12: 45 p.m. Interment at Pine Hills Cemetery. The strength she demonstrated during her two year battle with cancer was an inspiration to us all. The family would like to thank Dr. AMATO and his staff at Mount Sinai Hospital for their caring treatment. Special thanks to Dr. TEPPER and the entire team of staff, nurses, support workers and specialty services at Bridgepoint who all contributed to her daily care and comfort.

Died peacefully with his family by his side on Wednesday, August 3rd, 2005 at St. Michael's Hospital at the age of 72. Beloved husband of Caroleanne. Dearly loved father of Glenn, Kim, Mike, Larry, Wayne, Jeremy, Brian and Chris and their spouses. Dearest grandfather of Jason, Cindy, Aaron, Erica, Megan, Nikki, Lauren, James Dillon, Brittany, Cody and Tyler and great-grandfather of Drew and Caitlin. Survived by his siblings Shirley, Kenneth, Marion, Keith, Lois, Diane and Ron. Fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Gloria. Predeceased by his parents Keith and Valentine and Dorothy, his first wife Phyllis, his sisters Doreen and Nancy and his grand_son Shawn. Passed away peacefully at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Orillia, on Monday, October 17, 2005. Wife of the late William "Pete" GRUNDY and much loved mother of Lois (David) KUENEMAN, Nancy (Rob) McCRON, and Margaret GRUNDY. Beloved grandmother of Paul KUENEMAN (Kate), Jennifer HOPP (Steve), and Scott McCRON and great-grandmother of Sydney HOPP and David KUENEMAN. Very special aunt of Ina (Rob,) Harley and Lucas JACKSON. Ethel will also be greatly missed by her extended family Joni, David and Glen WATTS, Barb SCAIFE, and Bob and Audrey STEVENSON. Resting at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home, 8911 Woodbine Ave., Markham (3 lights north of Hwy. 7), 905-305-8508. Passed away peacefully at the Leisureworld Muskoka Nursing Home in Gravenhurst on Friday November 25, 2005 surrounded by his family. James William ERWIN loving husband of Laura (née RABBITTS) of 59 years. Survived by his beloved children, Bob and wife Maureen and their children Jess and Jaime; Don and wife Jackie and their children, Sean, Christopher and Caitlin and Deb (partner Philip KELLY) and her children Dana and Jay. His grandchildren have lost their adored "Ernie" of their "Bert and Ernie" team. Jim was known for his wit, dry humour and one-line "zingers". Graduated from University of Toronto in 1936. Graduated as Chartered Accountant in 1941. A 29 year member of Eaton's Quarter Century Club. He worked with Retail Council of Canada for 6 years. Following his retirement in 1976 he spent 29 years in Muskoka. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the W.J. Cavill Funeral Home, Gravenhurst. A private family interment at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. If you wish, donations to the Alzheimer Society (www.alzheimers.ca) or to the South Muskoka Memorial Hospital Foundation, P.O. Box 1570, Ann Street, Bracebridge, Ontario P1L 9Z9 would be appreciated.
