It is with sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing
of Don, Dad, "Grampie", "Great Grampie", on July 5, 2005 at the
age of 95. He lived his life of community with pride, dignity
and a strong independence.
Don was predeceased by Helen his wife of 48 years. Don was the

A graduate in Maths and Physics from Victoria College, he became
actuarial vice-president of the Imperial Life Assurance Company
where he worked for 42 years.
Over many years, Don was active in Eglinton-St. George's United
Church and most recently in Rotary International. For many years
Don enjoyed his summer cottage on Lake Temagami and its woodland
environment.
The family will receive Friends at the Trull 'North Toronto'
Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks
south of Lawrence) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9
p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, 2005. A funeral service will be held
at Eglinton-St. George's United Church, (corner of Duplex Ave
and Lytton Blvd.) at 11 a.m. on July 13, 2005

Cavan, Ireland in 1922, she later travelled to London, England
where she trained as a nurse. During World War 2, she met the
love of her life Mo, a member of the Irish Regiment of the Canadian
Army. After the war they settled in East York. A devoted and
compassionate nurse. A long standing member of her church choir
and the community Legion. A lover of horses and horse racing.
A true Irish colleen, with always a smile and a song for all
she met. She will be sadly missed. Resting at the Paul O'Conner
Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E (between Warden and Pharmacy)
from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday, November 29th, 2005. Funeral Mass on Wednesday,
November 30th, 2005 in Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, 3170 St. Clair
