Passed away peacefully on May 12, 2005, in her 102nd year. Will be greatly missed by her children Dorothy and Ed HURST and Edward and Shirley EXCELL and all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and families. Resting at Paul O'Connor Funeral Home, 1939 Lawrence Ave. E. Scarborough. Visitation Friday May 13 from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service Saturday May 14, at 1 p.m. Flowers or donations to the Canadian Cancer Society appreciated.

BAKOS, Joseph " Joe"
Passed away peacefully, with his family by his side, on August 20, 2005, in his 71st year. Beloved husband of Vera. Loving father of Frank and wife Rita COURTNEY, Barbara COURTNEY and husband George MOORE. Will be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren Amy and husband Clint EXCELL and Lisa COURTNEY. Survived by sisters Margit and Magdus and nephew Tibor in Hungary. Joe will be missed by all his close Friends at Woodbine Race Track and especially by the guys and girls in Barn 3. Friends will be received at the Neweduk Funeral Home - "Mississauga Chapel," 1981 Dunas St. W. (1 block east of Erin Mills Pkwy.), from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. on Monday, August 22. A Memorial Service will be held at the Woodbine Race Track on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at 1 p.m. Donations to the Trillium Health Centre (Mississauga Site), would be appreciated by the family. In her 101st year, passed away peacefully in the presence of her daughter Audrey, son Howard, and granddaughter Cynthia CASKEY at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto on September 7, 2005. Born in Twillingate, Newfoundland on May 24, 1905. Bernice ROBERTS married Thomas ASHBOURNE of Twillingate in 1925. Survived by children Gordon ASHBOURNE and wife Marilyn of Twillingate, Howard ASHBOURNE and wife Mary Louise, Audrey ASHBOURNE of Weston, Ontario and Christine CASKEY and husband Peter of Ottawa. Loved grandmother to Wayne ASHBOURNE (Dyan), Sheila ASHBOURNE, Peter ASHBOURNE (Peggy,) Cynthia CASKEY, Elizabeth CASKEY (Shane EDMONDS,) Thomas ASHBOURNE (Linda TUCK- CHAPMAN), Victoria ASHBOURNE (Greg CROKE), Mary ASHBOURNE- SMITH (Richard SMITH), Anne ASHBOURNE (Allan CLEMMENS), Alexandra ASHBOURNE, Robert ASHBOURNE (Tin Wei KWAN), and Kate EXCOFFON (Simon.)
