Went home to be with the Lord on Monday, January 24, 2005 at the Coleman Care Centre, Barrie. Stan GILLESPIE, formerly of Prince Edward Island and Toronto in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (née PARDON) of Barrie. Dear father of Carol BETTINI and her husband Paul, Lois LEBRUN and her husband Dr. Michel, Diane NELSON and her husband Dan, Debbie NUSHIS and her husband George, and Jennifer LOGAN and her husband Steve. Loving grandfather of Elizabeth (Gary), Anne, Shane, Lance, Daniel, Michael (Erica), Jennifer (Patrick), Ben, Eliza, Heather and Matthew and great-grandchildren Loren, Shannon, Blair, Alexandra and Ruby June. On Sunday, November 6, 2005, peacefully, at Baycrest Hospital. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother. Devoted wife of the late Jacob (Yakov). Loving mother of Freda LEIBL (Fred,) and Abraham NUSS (Brenda.) Cherished Baba of Sherry PINK (Michael), Marcie LEIBL- BACKSTEIN (David), and Risa LEIBL, and Great Baba of Alanna, Jessica, Nicholas, and Lauren. Auntie Brina will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She will remain in our hearts forever. Funeral services to be held at Steeles Memorial Chapel on Monday, November 7 at 12 noon. Dear mother of Jacob KUIZENGA and his wife Margaret of Guelph, John KUIZENGA and his wife Colleen of Blenheim, Hilda NUSSELDER and her husband Wim of Stoney Creek, and Agatha Tietia TEMPLE and her husband Keith of London. Dear sister of Stewart BRINK and his wife Margaret of Darmouth, Nova Scotia, John BRINK and his wife Helen of St. George, Jake BRINK and his wife Helen of Ridgetown, Akke SELDENTHUIS and her husband Jake of Cambridge, and predeceased by her brother George BRINK. Dear sister-in-law of Truis BRINK of Chatham. Also loved by her 12 grandchildren and 11 greatgrandchildren. Friends will be received by the family from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London (433-5184). CHRISTIE, Jean Elizabeth (née HARDING) (1922-2005)
Passed away peacefully, at Saint Mary's Hospital, Kitchener, on Saturday, April 9, 2005, at the age of 82. Beloved wife of George. Cherished mother of Karen (Tom) DAGG, and Calvin CHRISTIE. Lovingly remembered by her grandchildren Jennah and Eric. Jean is survived by her sister Margaret SINIBALDI. Predeceased by her parents Frederick and Doretta HARDING, and a brother William HARDING. Friends are invited to share their memories of Jean with her family during visitation at the Edward R. Good Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 13, 2005 from 10 to 11 a.m. The service to celebrate Jean's life and faith will follow in the funeral home Chapel at 11 a.m., with the Reverend Lowell NUSSEY officiating. Interment to follow a reception in the funeral home at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Jean's family wishes to extend their heart filled thanks to the wonderful staff, and Friends that she made during her stay at Beechwood Manor, as well as the care shown to her by the doctors and nurses at Saint Mary's Hospital Emergency Department. Loving wife of George ROBINSON, mother of Éva TAILOR/TAYLOR (John TAILOR/TAYLOR) and Gus HARSFAI (Wendy MILNE) and Oma to Jack and Annie, auntie to Lucy NUSSIS (née NAGY.) A celebration of her life will be held in the spring-time in Toronto, including a tree-planting in her loving memory at Edwards Gardens.
