DEBRUYN, George J.
George J. DEBRUYN passed away after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer at home on December 30, 2004 in his 64th year. George was supervisor at Union Gas for 20 years, member of the Pnyx Baldoon Lodge #312 A.F.A.M., also Scottish Right, and member of the Sydenham Hospital Board. Beloved husband of Rebecca (COLLOP.) Loving father of Melanie and John OEPKES of Woodstock, David DEBRUYN of London and Anne DEBRUYN of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Moyra and Conor. son of the late Joseph and Josephine (VANBOVEN) DEBRUYN. Brother of Alice HILDEBRAND, Mary and Jerry SCHOENER of West Branch, Michigan. The family received relatives and Friends at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street (at Elgin), in Wallaceburg from 7-9 p.m. on Saturday and from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, with parish prayers at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass was celebrated by Fr. Greg BONIN at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Wallaceburg on Monday, January 3, 2005 at 11 a.m. A time of refreshment and fellowship at the Cavanagh Reception Centre followed the interment at Riverview Cemetery. If desired, remembrances to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Victorian Order of Nurses may be left at the funeral home or online at www.cavanaghfuneralhome.ca
