Peacefully at John Joseph Place in Owen Sound on Saturday morning December 3, 2005. Januario GALINDO, aged 90 years, the loving husband of Marguerite GALINDO (née COMBES.) The loved father of Yvonne GALINDO and her husband Doug ORCHARD. Dear father-in-law of Ingrid WAHANIK. Loved grandfather of Sylvie, and Jean Philippe. Predeceased by his son Jean Rene. Dr. GALINDO was a university professor, pharmacist and biochemist formerly living in Colombia, South America. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Saint Mary's Church on Tuesday morning at 10 a.m. Interment in Saint Mary's Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Mother of Katherine "Katie" of Whitby, Peter (Jane) of Kingston, Andrew (Margaret-Elizabeth) of Whitby, and Malcom of Pickering. Grandmother of Catherine Tamara BEST (Charles ORCHARD), Adam, Sarah, Aaron, Natalie, Cedric, and Daniel SCHELL. Great-grandmother of Renée Katherine ORCHARD. Survived by her brothers John (Pat) of Marlborough, England and Peter (Joyce) of Agassiz, British Columbia. Predeceased by brothers Herbert Edward "Ward", and David M. IRWIN. The family will receive Friends at the W.C. Town Funeral Chapel, 110 Dundas Street East, Whitby (905-668-3410) from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday. Funeral Services will be held at St. Andrew's Presbyterian Chruch (209 Cochrane Street, Whitby) on Friday, April 1, 2005 at 4 p.m. with visitation at the Church from 3 to 4 p.m. Cremation followed by interment at Union Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice.
