It is with profound sadness that we the family announce the passing of Ann O'ROARTY on October 22, 2005. She will be sadly missed by her husband Michael and daughters Deborah (Mick) and Michelle (Dan). Loving Nana to Jason, Ann Marie, Patsyann, and Devon. She will also be missed by many other family and Friends both here in Canada and overseas in England. The family will receive Friends at the McEachnie Funeral Home, 28 Old Kingston Road, Ajax (Pickering Village) 905-428-8488, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 25, 2005. Proud grandmother of 21 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She will be held dear in the hearts of her sister, brother, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and many Friends. Family will receive Friends at the Fratelli Vescio Funeral Homes Ltd. (8101 Weston Rd., south of Langstaff Rd., 905850-3332) on Thursday from 2-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 9: 30 a.m. from St. Peter Roman Catholic Church (100 Bainbridge Ave., at Martin Grove Rd.). Born in Dover Twp., daughter of the late Colin and Louise (EBERT) CAMPBELL. Gretta retired from Lambton Kent Composite School, Dresden in 1983 with 25 years of "Feeding the Troops" of adolescence, the creator of the unforgettable "Gretta Burger". She was a Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary, Br. #113 Dresden Legion from 1983-1985, and a member of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dresden. Beloved wife of the late Lorne (Bud) SHAW (1994.) Great-grandmother to Tyler EVANS, Caleb and Jean-Luc GAGNON, Jayme Lyn and Christopher STOKES, Theresa MILLIGAN, and Kelly, Steven and Shawn O'ROURKE. Survived by daughter Leueen PRESTON (Bill FIELD,) grandchildren Kathleen, Patrick and Michael SIMAAN, and great-grandchildren Natalie and Jake. In England, sister Margaret BARRY (her children Helen and Stephen,) in Ireland, Pat O'ROURKE. Predeceased by her beloved son Kevin Lawrence O'Brien PRESTON. At her request no service. On September 18, 2005 in Toronto from complications after a fall. Born June 22, 1922 in Dublin. Sheila had a long association with the family practice unit of St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto. During World War 2, she worked for Canadian Military Headquarters in London. Survived by daughter Leueen PRESTON (Bill FIELD,) grandchildren Kathleen, Patrick and Michael SIMAAN, and great-grandchildren Natalie and Jake. In England, sister Margaret BARRY (her children Helen and Stephen,) in Ireland, Pat O'ROURKE. Predeceased by her beloved son Kevin Lawrence O'Brien PRESTON. At her request no service.
