OSOKA, Michael
Having fought his illness with great courage, Michael OSOKA slept away quietly, On Wednesday, November 30, 2005, at his home in Mosa Twp. as were his wishes. He was in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his first wife Mary in 1988. He is survived by his wife Hanna OSOKA, and his daughter Naida and her husband Bill CUSHMAN, 2 sons, Victor and Walter, and daughter-in-law Karen, and 2 step daughters, Nina (Sergei) SVIRID and Helen (Jaroslav) HRADOVA. Dear grandfather of Mary, Robert, Nicole, Alicia, Kristen, Jennifer, Bryan, Christopher and Allison and great grandfather of 5 and step grandfather of Oleg and Ivan. Predeceased by his son William (1979) and by 3 brothers and 1 sister in the Ukraine. A Private Family service will be held on Friday, December 2 at 1: 30 p.m. at the Van Heck Funeral Home, 172 Symes St. Glencoe. Interment Oakland Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to the service. Memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or charity of your choice.

Peacefully at home on May 18, 2005. Predeceased by her parents Charlie and Pearl OSOWSKI. Loving mother to Arlene and her husband Terry NICHOLSON and Catherine and her husband James WHITE/WHYTE. Beloved grandmother to Kimberley, Mathew, Andrew and Alexander. Visitation will take place at the Cardinal Funeral Homes, 92 Annette St. (near Keele) on Friday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated by the family.

Also survived by the mother of the children, Anne. Dear brother of Adolko and his wife Cathy and their children, Adam, Sofia, Natalie, and Christina. Loving nephew of John and Maria FIRMAN. Friends may call at Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (near Keele), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m., with Panachida at 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday at 9: 30 a.m., then to The Ukrainian Catholic Church Of The Holy Protection for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery.
