At his residence on Monday, March 7th, 2005. Keith beloved father of Catherine and the late Paul. Devoted Gramps of Scott and Steven. Lovingly remembered by his sister Doris, brother Ken, and his many Friends. The family will receive Friends at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Avenue, Ajax (905-428-9090) on Wednesday, March 9th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Thursday, March 10th at 1 p.m. If so desired, donations made to the charity of your choice in Keith's memory would be appreciated.

Passed away at Grindstone Creek Manor, Waterdown, on Thursday, August 18, 2005, in her 73rd year. Loved mother of Donna ADAMSON (Jay) of Waterdown, Kelly RYE (Ken) of Millett, Alberta, Sharon ZAMMIT (Bill,) Jackie WOOD (Gary) and Andrew ALTON (Bonnie,) all of Burlington. Grandmother of Marley, Myles, Ryan, Jennifer, Kristy, Justin, Kevin, Sean, Kevin, Tyler, Isaiah, Mathew and Joshua and great-grandmother of Hannah, Dylan, Jacob and Noah. Dear sister of Nina CHRISTIE of Toronto and John CHRISTIE of Collingwood. As a case worker for the Aboriginal people in Toronto, her services will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place. Passed away peacefully with Friends by her side, on November 1st, 2005, in her 95th year, at the Community Nursing Home, Pickering, Ontario. Loving and devoted wife of the late Bernard RYE. Precious and special mother of Marlene RYE (of Ajax,) and Phyllis YORKE (of Keswick). Grandmother of Paul, Linda, Sharon and Brenda and great-grandmother of Heather and Hollie. Velma is survived by her sister Sara CROSIER (of Chesley) and she is predeceased by her parents William and Elizabeth METHERAL and her sister Almeda MORNING, her brothers John, William (Sam,) Howard (Buddy) and Peter. Friends will be received at the Accettone Funeral Home, 384 Finley Ave., Ajax (905-428-9090) on Friday, November 4th, 2005 from 12 noon until the time of the Newmarket Chapter 282 Order of the Eastern Star Memorial Service at 2 p.m. in the chapel, followed by a Celebration of her life. To the end, Velma was very eloquent, brave and kind, as the aging process took its toll. A very special thanks to Ms. J.B. Passed away peacefully with his family by his side at Sunnybrook Hospital on October 30, 2005 at the age of 77. Loving husband to Shirley for 54 wonderful years. Beloved father of Larry (Sharon), Lorne (Joanne), and Lynda (Scott). Proud Grandpa to Christopher, Matthew, Michelle and Sandra. Dear brother to Beatrice OLIVANT, Dorothy BRYAN, Jack (Jean) and Irene RYE. Brother-in-law to Bernice. Ken will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and Friends. In Montreal, on Monday, August 1st, 2005, at the age of 75, after a courageous two and a half years at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Jewish Rehabilitation Centre and Maimonides Hospital. Beloved wife of the late David DAVIS. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her daughter Rona (Michael) and her sons Louis (Deborah) and Steven (Susan). Loving Bubby Bunny of David, Simone, Richard, Douglas and Samantha. Dearest sister of the late Bernie RYER. The family would like to thank everyone who played a special role in helping her overcome extraordinary challenges. Sailor, surveyor and politician born in Devonshire on June 21, The son of a curate, he ran away to sea at 12, joined the Royal Navy and was sent to Kingston, Upper Canada, during the War of 1812. He took part in the defeat of the U.S. at the battle of Crysler's Farm near what is now Morrisburg, Ontario After the war, he remained in Canada to join a team that surveyed the Thousand Islands and Great Lakes for the Royal Navy. In 1815, he married Amelia RYERSE and moved to her birthplace of Port Ryerse on Lake Ontario. He resigned from the navy but continued his work as a surveyor. In 1832, he purchased land in London, Ontario, became involved in politics and served as treasurer of London District for 30 years.
