CERASANI, James Domenic (February 16, 1913-January 21, 2005)
On Friday, January 21, 2005, just short of his 93rd year, he peacefully left this world. Beloved husband of the late Mary Margaret (née MADOTT.) Loved son of the late Ulisse and Annetta (née DIGIUSTINI) CERASANI. Much loved father of James Robert CERASANI and his wife Lois (née SKLAD) and Catherine Marianne CERASANI and her late husband Peter Clifton GODFREY. Most fondly remembered by his grand_sons David Anthony (Christine and Ethan), Michael James, Joseph Paul and his wife Joanne (née VANDERVINNE) and by great-grand_son Dylan Joseph. Brother of Mary Ann and her late husband Frederick LACASTRO, Rita and her husband Jim ARMSTRONG and the late Beatrice. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario Street, Mississauga (Hwy. 10, North of Queen Elizabeth Way). on Monday, January 24, 2005 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church, 921 Flagship Dr., Mississauga, on Tuesday, January 25, 2005 at 10 a.m. Interment Saint John's Dixie Cemetery. Passed away peacefully at North York General Hospital on Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at the age of 88. Esther SADAVOY, loving wife of the late Bob (Robert) SADAVOY. Treasured mother and mother-in-law of Corinne and Don (SKLAR,) Judy and Marvin (COHEN,) Lyle and Carolee, David, and Benjamin. Beloved Bubby Esther of Michelle, Rachel and the late Robert, Michael and Deb COHEN, Deborah and Cory FRIEBERG, Neil and Alyssa COHEN, Robin, Michael, Jacob and Sarah, Vanessa and Daniel. Proud great-grandmother of Zachary, Beth, and London. Survived by brothers, Michael and Pinchas and his wife, Barbara. Predeceased by her parents, Clara and Harry PLEET, step-mother Bertha PLEET and brother Jack. Esther will be sadly missed by family and Friends, especially in Ottawa and Toronto. Esther had an active, enquiring mind, a wonderful memory and a life long love of learning. Ever loved and missed, Esther will always be in our hearts. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 11, 2005 at 11: 30 a.m. at Steeles Memorial Chapel, 350 Steeles Avenue West, Thornhill, Ontario. Peacefully in Montreal, on Thursday, November 3rd, 2005, at the age of 78, after a ten year struggle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Beloved wife of Julius for sixty years. Devoted and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Jack and Lilla, Betty and Eliot GOLDWARG, Lise and Luke SKLAR, Joni and David JONES. Cherished "Nana Phyllis" of Daniel, Janna, Eric, Jordan, Rebecca, Naomi, Kira, Michael, Stephanie and Matthew. Much loved sister and sister-in-law of Esther and the late Morty COPELOVITCH. Sister-in-law of Issie and the late Roslind STERNTHAL, the late Ben and the late Eve STERNTHAL, Victor and the late Esther SHANEFIELD. Many thanks to her devoted caregiver Suzy Oana, and to the staff at The Waldorf Senior's Residence. CARLASH, Stella (SZKLAR)
Peacefully in her 86th year on Sunday, July 10th, 2005 at home with her family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Her faith and devotion to God gave her the pride, dignity and strength which she demonstrated during her struggle with the disease. Beloved wife of the late John CARLASH (1993,) loving mother of Janice and son-in-law John (Marshall), and cherished "Nanny" to Shanan and Ashleigh and 'Henry'. Survived by sister Jean JONES of Ottawa, predeceased by brother Mike SKLAR of Dauphin, Manitoba and sister Sophie SHEMANSKI of Winnipeg. "Auntie" will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, and many Friends. A churchgoer and active participant in the church community, Stella will be missed by her Friends at St. Vladimir's. The family would like to thank dear Friends Sally BOYD and Cathy BALSYS for their caring and support to both Stella and the family. Also, sincere thanks to Dr. K. BRIDGE, Thornbrook Home Care staff and the Etobicoke Services for Seniors Respite Care for their devoted care and compassion during her illness. Friends may call at the R.S. Peacefully, in his 95th year, at Extendicare Nursing Home, on Friday, February 11, 2005, Mr. Panas KUSZCZOW, of London. Beloved husband of the late Anastasia (SKLARENKO) (2003.) Dear father of Lesa CARDAS and her partner Zoran TODOROVIC. Loving Grandfather of Dax CARDAS. Panas was born in the Ukraine and enjoyed life in Venezuela before moving to Niagara-on-the-Lake, and eventually settling in London. Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 13th, 2005, from 7-9 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, (2 blocks North of Oxford), where the funeral service will be conducted on Monday, February 14, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in Panas' memory are asked to consider the Tourette Syndrome Association of Ontario.
