Peacefully on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Humber River Regional Hospital - Church Site, in his 84th year. Loving, devoted soulmate of Helen for 57 beautiful years. Unbelievably classic father to James and Susan (Sani) DUNBAR. Cherished father-in-law of Peter (DUNNER) and Kris. Devoted grandfather of Connie (Mark BEATTY), Melissa (Ryan SLY), Jessica DUNBAR, Denne GOBERIS and great-grandfather of Victoria and Rebecca BEATTY. The Gobe will be forever remembered by his sister Anne Baker, brothers John and Charles, brother-in-law Ted Syrec, sisters-in-law Yvonne, Rachel, Eleanor and Laura Barnett and their families. Friends may call at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Saturday. A complete service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Sunday at 2 p.m. Cremation. If desired, donations to your favourite charity would be appreciated by the family. He came up against a problem only God could solve. He passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 15, 2005 at 58 years of age. His passing leaves behind his Loving wife Ramona and devoted daughter Theresa Lyn (Terri) and his devoted brother Robert and his wife Donna. Also mourning his passing are Ramona's parents and sisters and brothers; Kent and Shirley MANUEL (Newfoundland) sister Wanda and husband Brian STRATTON, sister Jean and husband Gary BLACK, brother Keith and wife Lynda MANUEL and brother Wade and wife Amanda MANUEL plus numerous nieces and nephews and friend. At Rick's request cremation has taken place. A private family Memorial Service will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children or the charity of your choice. Arrangements entrusted to the Chatterson-Long Funeral Home, 404 Hurontano Street, Collingwood.

Dear sister of Anthony GONSALVES and his wife Celine of Miami, Florida, Patrick GONSALVES and his wife Thelma of Calgary, Alberta and Monica JONES and her husband Burt of Mossley. Dear sister-in-law of Tessa GONSALVES of Burlington. Also survived by nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one brother Terry GONSALVES. At Meadow Park Nursing Home, Chatham-Kent, on Saturday, March 5, 2005, Janina TOMASZEWSKI, age 79, of Chatham, beloved wife of Jan TOMASZEWSKI. Born in Tajkury, Poland in 1925, daughter of the late Veronica (KACZMASZYK) and Joseph SLYS, she came to Canada in 1960. She will be sadly missed by: her children, Gregory and his wife Diane of Mississauga, Ursula PELLECCHIA and her husband Ciro of Brampton and Andrew and his wife Margaret of Ottawa, 9 grandchildren Jessica and Michael, Laura, Amanda and Emily, Kristina, Christopher and Meghan, and a sister Ann TOMASZEWSKI in Poland. She is predeceased by a brother Stanley SLYS. Friends and relatives may call at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 7-9 p.m. Sunday where Parish Prayers will be offered 8 p.m. on Sunday. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated on Monday, March 7, 2005 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Victory Church. LESKEW, Rose, (née SLYWCHUK)
Passed away peacefully at Trillium Manor, Orillia, Ontario, on Tuesday November 22, 2005. She was predeceased by her devoted husband Stephen LESKEW and her son Stevie LESKEW as well as her only brother Tolly SLYWCHUK of Timmins, Ontario. Dear mother of Elsie (Bill KELLY,) Paul (Marlene,) Susan, all of Orillia, John (Bonnie) of Cumberland Beach and Helen (Kevin CROZIER) of Barrie. She was the cherished grandmother "Babi" of Kira Leskew FRASER (Colin), Gregory LESKEW, Christine Leskew MITCHELL (Keith), Steven LESKEW (Carrie), Christopher CROZIER (Lisa), Celina Crozier AMBLER (Rupert) and Jessica Crozier HENDRIKS (Dan). Proud great-grandmother to Emily, Joseph, David, Mary and Annie (Christopher and Lisa CROZIER), Alexandra, Charles and Rupert James (Celina and Rupert AMBLER), Madeleine, Gabriel and Claire (Jessica and Dan HENDRIKS), John and Meia (Steve and Carrie LESKEW.) She was their dear Babka. Rose will also be sadly missed by nieces and nephews in Timmins, Sudbury and Toronto. Rose was born in Cobalt, Ontario on October 14, 1912 to Nicholas SLYWCHUK and Mary PERUN. In 1922 she survived the Great Fire at Haileybury while she was a resident student at the convent there. Rose married Stephen LESKEW in 1930 in Hamilton. He was a Master Cabinet-maker and Furniture designer, trained in Europe. They established the Timmins Upholstering and Cabinet Shop in the early years of their marriage and saw their business flourish in later years in southern and central Ontario. The family extends deep appreciation to Dr. Wayne BATES and the nurses and staff at Trillium Manor for their kind and dedicated care.
Family and Friends will be received at the Doolittle Chapel of Carson Funeral Homes, 54 Coldwater Street East Orillia (705) 326-3595, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday November 25, 2005. Then to the Church of the Guardian Angels for Mass of Christian Burial at 11 o'clock on Saturday Morning. Interment St. Michaels Cemetery, Orillia. A reception to follow at the Simcoe Room of the Highwayman Inn (Southwest corner of Westmount at Coldwater). Parish Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home at 7: 15 Friday Evening. If desired donations to the St. Vincent De Paul Society or the "Furnishing Fund" at Trillium Manor, would be appreciated by the family.
