PORTER, Kenneth Albert
Kenneth Albert PORTER of Saint Thomas, beloved husband of Dorothy (DAWDY) PORTER, passed away at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Friday, January 21, 2005, in his 83rd year. Dearly loved father of Carolyn JOVANOVICH and her husband Jerry of Fingal. Cherished grandfather of Susanne GALLANT and her husband Paul of West Lorne, John JOVANOVICH and his wife Lori of Woodstock and Deborah WALKER and her husband Jeff of Bath. He was the proud great-grandfather of Rick, Jordan, Samantha, Ashley, Mikaela, Jacob, Ryan and Justin. Dear brother of Bernice BURK/BURKE of Port Stanley and Helen DOAN and Joyce MOODIE, both of Saint Thomas. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Born in Yarmouth Township, September 13, 1922, the son of the late Albert and Jessie (SMUCK) PORTER. He was a former employee of Allen's Dry Cleaner's, Saint Thomas. Mr. PORTER was one of Jehovah's witnesses. At Mr. PORTER's request, there will be no public visitation. A public memorial service will be held at The Kingdom Hall, R.R.#7, Saint Thomas (Gore Road and Highway #3) on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 2: 00 p.m. Private interment has taken place in Elmdale Memorial Park, Saint Thomas. Memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association gratefully acknowledged. The Sifton Funeral Home, 118 Wellington Street, Saint Thomas entrusted with arrangements.

Thomas Bruce FENWICK (proud member of the Duchess of Kent and Lucan Legion) peacefully with his family at his side with dignity and courage on Wednesday, January 26, 2005. Beloved husband of Bernice FENWICK (née SMUCK.) Loving father of Katherine (Henry) VANDERLOOP, Heather (William) HODGSON and the late Sheryal and Carol FENWICK. Cherished grandfather of Jenilee, Kaeleigh and Michael VANDERLOOP, Ryan, Adam and Holly HODGSON. Dear brother of Ella, Edith and their families all of Scotland. Predeceased by one sister Dorothy. The family will receive Friends and relatives at Forest Lawn Memorial Chapel, 1997 Dundas Street East (at Wavell), London, for visitation on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be on Saturday, January 29, 2005 at 1 p.m. Funeral service officiated by Reverend Darrell SHAUL and assisted with the Royal Canadian Legion-Duchess of Kent Branch 263 Legion memorial service. STITT, Walter Robert
Walter STITT passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 17th, 2005 in Cambridge. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 55 years, Aileen Dorothy (née GORDON) who passed away on June 17th, 2002. He was the devoted father of Joyce (Len) NEAL, Susan (Frank) SLANEY, Michael, Paul (Karen,) Walter Robert (Pirjo;) beloved grampa to Tammy and Kent CATTO, Sean SLANEY and Melissa KITCHENER, Mellissa and Karim RIAD, Darryl SLANEY and Kirstie, Lindsay NEAL, Ryan and Laura, Derrick, Darryl and Amanda ACHESON and Barry SMUG, Kyle STITT, and Samantha and Spencer STITT. Dear great-grampa to Jessica SLANEY, Julia and Megan KITCHENER, Meghan and Evan CATTO, and Sierra RIAD survived by his brother Dr. Jack and Joyce STITT. He was best buddy to Edith GODDARD. Predeceased by his brothers Herbert and Norman STITT and his sister Eleanor HART. Walter was a veteran of World War 2 and a member of the Governor-General's Horse Guard from 1939. He will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his entire family and many Friends. Walter's family will receive Friends at the Dale Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Boulevard, Cambridge on Wednesday from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.. Peacefully, on the morning of December 11, 2005, at home, in her 80th year. She was the beloved wife of the late Morris for 54 years. Dear sister of Sam KAUFFMAN. Loving mother of Peter, Stanley and Sarah-Anne. Mother-in-law of Christine, Shirley and Ron ARMSTRONG. Grandmother of D.A. and Elizabeth Rebecca. Sister-in-law of Phyllis, Anita and Birdie. Predeceased by sister-in-law Rose and brothers-in-law Sam, David and Saul. Will be deeply missed by many relatives and Friends. Harriette, a born and bred Hamiltonian was the artistic partner at McKay and Company Florist, always willing to extend a hand to newcomers in the community and held innumerable volunteer positions.
