HODGSON, Edward " Ted"
Suddenly at his home, on Friday May 6, 2005. Beloved husband of Jean. Loving father of Lisa TUBARO and her husband Edward, Teddy, Ken and Robin. Dear Poppy of Emma and Owen. Ted is survived by his twin brother Ron and his wife Bev, and his sister Georgeann and her husband John BURDICK. He will be missed by nieces, nephews, relatives and Friends. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A Service of Remembrance will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, May 11, 2005 at 3 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Canadian Diabetes Foundation.

TUBB, David "Dave" Walter (January 12, 1951 - January 18, 2005)
David was a great brother to Susan. Devoted husband to Kerry. Loving father to Chris and Tammy. Outstanding grandfather to Duncan. He was a dedicated employee of Air Canada until his passing quietly in hospital on January 18, 2005 after many years of illness. He will be missed by all who loved him. Visitation only, will be held Thursday, January 20 at the Turner and Porter "Peel" Chapel, 2180 Hurontario St. (at Queen Elizabeth Way) from 6 to 9 p.m.

After a battle against cancer, on Tuesday, February 1, 2005, at Lakeridge Health Corp. Bowmanville. Shirley (née TUBB,) in her 71st year. Loving wife of Armin for 48 years. Dear and devoted mother of Laura and her husband John MUSTARD of Mississauga, Brian and his wife Cheryl GRONKE of Courtice and Caroline GRONKE and her husband David LINDSAY of Toronto. Proud and indulgent Grandma of Ryan and Eric GRONKE, Ila and Margot LINDSAY. Beloved sister of Pearl BIDGOOD and Madeline TUBB, both of Oshawa. Predeceased by brothers Garnett, Harold and parents Arthur and Ila (née FARROW) TUBB. Sister-in-law of Joan TUBB. Relatives and Friends will be received at the McIntosh-Anderson Funeral Home Ltd., 152 King St. E., Oshawa (905-433-5558) on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday, February 4, 2005 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment Mount Lawn Cemetery, Whitby. SHARRATT, Catherine Joan
At home after a courageous fight with cancer, on Saturday, January 1st, 2005, Catherine Joan SHARRATT of London at the age of 51. Beloved sister of William SHARRATT (Sharon) of Akron, Ohio, John SHARRATT (Patricia) of London, Janet SHARRATT of Toronto, and Joanne WILKINSON (Rob) of Burlington. Loving aunt of Nathan and David SHARRATT, Valerie EARL, Chris SHARRATT and Nicole, Karen and Amanda TUBBS, Sean, Ryan and Blair WILKINSON. Missed by her great nieces and nephews as well. Predeceased by her parents, Ernest and Dorothy SHARRATT. An employee of the London Police Department for over 30 years, Cathy held the distinction of being appointed London's first female Police Officer in 1974. Cathy will be missed by her many Friends and co-workers at the Police Department. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2: 00- 4:00 and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where the funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, January 6th, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Cremation and interment of ashes at Woodland Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Cathy are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society.

BUTTS, Gordon Mark
Peacefully at home in Scarborough with family on Tuesday, November 29, 2005. Gordon BUTTS at the age of 85 years. Loving husband of the late Gloria Lillian (TUBBS) BUTTS. Beloved father of Debbie LAWRIE (Richard) of Scarborough, Larry BUTTS (Maggie) of Medicine Hat, Alberta and Bob BUTTS (Cathy) of Barrie. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer BUTTS, Erin LAWRIE, David LAWRIE, Steve BUTTS and Sarah BUTTS. Fondly remembered by his sister, Barbara TUCKER (Terry) as well as many other family, Friends and neighbours. Gordon served in the Merchant Marine during World War 2. He was the recipient of the longest safe-driving award (29 years) when he retired from Dufferin Construction Inc. in 1985, with more than 30 years of service as a concrete truck driver. Friends may call at the Gilchrist Chapel-McIntyre and Wilkie Funeral Home, One Delhi Street, Guelph (from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday). BEARDSLEY, Barbara Elizabeth (née TUBMAN)
Peacefully surrounded by her family in her own home, passed away on Friday, February 11th, 2005, at the age of 77.
Born July 12, 1927 in Ottawa, Ontario. Beloved wife of 55 years to Robert (Bob) BEARDSLEY. Mother of Ruth, Phyllis, John and Robin. Grandmother of Lindsay, Adam, Hunter, Tommy, Sam, Ross, Ian, Becca, Stephen, Beth and Nicholas. Barbara worked tirelessly in the community and the New Democratic Party, she was a wife, mother, sister, feminist, mentor, librarian, researcher, gardener and friend of many. She worked at Ontario Institute for Studies in Education, Metro Toronto School Board, University of the West Indies and Onteris. Graduated from U of T, 1949, Honours B.A. English and 1962 Bachelors in Library Sciences.
A Funeral Service will be held at South Bay United Church, on Monday, February 14th at 2 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at The Garden Chapel of The Tubman Funeral Home, 3440 Richmond Road (Between Bayshore and Baseline Roads), Nepean on Wednesday, February 16th at 3 p.m. If desired, donations to the New Democratic Party, Friends of Sandbanks Park or the Ann Farewell Library would be appreciated by the family (cheques only please).
