BEATTIE, Mary M.
At the McCormick Home in London on Sunday, March 27th, 2005, Mary M. BEATTIE, R.N. of London. Miss BEATTIE was born at Mandaumin, Ontario (Plympton Township). She has been a resident of London since 1920. A member of First-St. Andrew's United Church since 1924. Graduate of Victoria Hospital 1934. She served as a 1st Lieutenant in the American Army in the Philippines, having nursed in Pasadena, California for 10 years. The remainder of her private nursing since 1946 has been in London, and she retired in 1976 from the Westminster Hospital staff after 13 years.
Beloved daughter of the late William and Janette BEATTIE. Predeceased by her brothers Dr. Adam Nichol BEATTIE and A.G. BEATTIE, C.B.E., and her sister Katharine VAN DYKE. Survived by her niece Pauline TYMCHUK of Victoria, British Columbia, and predeceased by 3 nieces. At Mary's expressed wish, there will be no funeral service and cremation has taken place, with interment of cremated remains in Pond Mills Cemetery, London. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations would be appreciated to the charity of your choice. A. ZACEK, Rudolf V.
Rudy passed away peacefully at Toronto Grace Hospital, March 22nd, 2005 leaving behind his wife Adeline ZACEK, son James ZACEK, daughters Penny ROSNER, Nancy CROWTHER, sister Thereza ZACEK- STEPHAN, grandchildren Casey ZACEK, Devon and Tyler ROSNER, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Antonia (Toni) TYMCHUK. Rudy will be sadly missed by all his Friends. A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 5 to 8 p.m. at the Ridley Funeral Home, 3080 Lakeshore Blvd. W. at 14th St. We all miss you Dad.

With great love and wonderful memories the family and close Friends of Elizabeth VACLAVIK announce her peaceful passing on August 20, 2005 at Greater Niagara General Hospital with her daughters Judith and Marion at her side. Betty was in her 85th year. She was predeceased by her husband, Reverend Henry Cenek VACLAVIK (1973.) Her generous, caring spirit, positive outlook on life and steadfast faith remain beacons for all who remember her. In accordance with Betty's wishes, cremation will be followed by a private family inurnment. A Service of Thanksgiving and Remembrance at St. Paul Street United Church in St. Catharines will follow, date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Arrangements have been entrusted to Passfield Mortuary.

At Peterborough Regional Health Centre Palliative Care on Tuesday August 30, 2005. Josey FOSTER of Peterborough, born August 9, 1930 in Mundare, Alberta. Beloved wife of Keith FOSTER. Dear mother of Louise FOSTER and her husband Christopher LUDWIG of Aurora, Steven FOSTER and his wife Sherry of London, Ontario. Loving grandmother of Sommer and Spencer FOSTER, Julia and Eric LUDWIG. Daughter of the late Michael and Nadia MOROZIUK. Sister of Joseph MOROZIUK, Patricia TYMCHYSHYN, Mary PORENCHUK and the late Rosie FLASHA. Sister-in-law of Victor FLASHA. Josey will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Comstock Funeral Home and Cremation Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough, Ontario from 7-9 p.m. Monday September 5th. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Alphonsus Church, 1066 Western Avenue, Peterborough on Tuesday, September 6th at 10: 30 a.m., followed by cremation. Peacefully, on Monday, August 8th, 2005 at Versa Care Home, at 83 years of age. Beloved husband of Dolores. Predeceased by his first wife Elizabeth. Loving father of Kathleen (Gary) TYMINSKI, Elizabeth HODGE, Peter FITZGIBBON, Amy FITZGIBBON, Robert (Cathy) FITZGIBBON, Louise SAVOIE, Helen LAFLAMME, Denyse (Randy) LEVITT, Albert (Mary Jane) LABERGE, Shirley THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and Theresa MORAN. Predeceased by his son Paul and son-in-law Grant. Survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Mary (Jack) McKEY, Joe (Mady) FITZGIBBON and Leo FITZGIBBON. Vince will be lovingly remembered by many family and Friends.
Vince was employed with Brewers Retail as group manager until his retirement. He was the founder (1987) and President Emeritus of the Brain Injury Community Re-Entry Niagara Incorporation. He was a life member of the Board of Directors. Vince is resting at the George Darte Funeral Home, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines until Thursday at 10: 30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in St. Denis Church at 11: 00 a.m. Rite of committal in Victoria Lawn Cemetery.
