SUTCLIFFE, Wilbert
Peacefully, at Grey Gables, Markdale, Sunday March 20, 2005. Wilbert 'Wib' SUTCLIFFE of Markdale in his 100th year. Beloved husband of the late Edna and the late Ruth. Survived by sisters-in-law Grace WHEILDON of Markdale, Shirley DICKSON/DIXON of Mitchell and brother-in-law Maurice QUINTON of Owen Sound, and the family of the late Ruth SUTCLIFFE (HOLLEY.) Sadly missed by his extended family and Friends. Friends called at the May Funeral Home, Markdale, Tuesday evening and Wednesday afternoon and evening, where Reverend Neil PARKER officiated a funeral service held Thursday March 24, 2005 at 11: 00 a.m. Chaplain Kathryn HAINES gave a eulogy. Music included the congregational hymns 'Amazing Grace' and 'What A Friend We Have In Jesus', accompanied by pianist David FRIES. Arnold ROSENBURG, Will MOORE, Howard GREIG, Hob PRINGLE, Terry McKAY and Cornelius VLIELANDER served as pall bearers. Honorary bearers were George HALL, Bob HALL, Terry BUCKLEY, Ken FERGUSON, John HALVERSON and Dyson SEABROOK. A recessional honour guard was formed by the past and present members of the Councils of the Township of Chatsworth, and the County of Grey. lnterment in Markdale Cemetery. Donations were directed to Grey Gables Residents' Fund, or the charity of choice.

BARTON, Robert
(Originally from Toronto) Passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of his family at Saint Mary's Hospital on Sunday, October 30, 2005 at the age of 75. Robert Edward BARTON, husband of the late Doris BARTON (1997.) Beloved companion of Dorothy BALLOCH. Cherished father of Robert Jr. and his wife Lynda, Susan and her husband Barry, Jim and his wife Dianne, Thomas and his wife Linda and Richard and his wife Sari-Ruth. Proud grandfather of Michael, Jamie, Christine, Steven, Gregory and Tina. Proud great-grandfather of Tarra and Abigail. Robert is also survived by sisters Margaret, and Jean and her husband John and brother Jim and his wife Ina as well as brother-in-law Bob THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON and his wife Helen. He will be fondly remembered by Dorothy's family, Wes and Barb RADULSKI and their children David and Elizabeth, David and Jackie GREENWAY and their daughter Alexandra, and Rob GREENWAY and Jennie VLIESTRA, as well as nieces, nephews and Friends. Robert is predeceased by his daughter Diane (2002) and grand_son David (1997.) Mr. BARTON is resting at the Westmount Funeral Chapel, 1001 Ottawa St. South (at Westmount Rd.), Kitchener, where Friends may call today (Tuesday) from 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at 11 a.m. (family will receive Friends from 10 a.m.). Interment will follow at Williamsburg Cemetery. Suddenly as a result of a motor vehicle accident on Wednesday February 9, 2005, Carrie Lynne WALTER of Norwich in her 36th year. Loving spouse of Rob. Cherished mother of David and Ashley. Loving daughter of Frank and Kay PARSONS of Norwich. Treasured sister of Cathy and husband Meint VAN VLIET of Norwich, Cheryl and husband Dennis CARTER of Tillsonburg, Chris PARSONS and wife Marlene of Norwich. Loving daughter-in-law of Percy and Janet WALTER of Otterville. Dear sister-in-law of Dennis WALTER and wife Wanda, Darlene WALTER, Christine and husband Dave HOLBECK all of Otterville. Peacefully at his home on Friday, May 20th, 2005, Jack Clifford HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON of Woodstock in his 87th year. Beloved husband of Irma Elizabeth HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON (née KAUFMAN.) Dear father of Robert and his wife Jane of Coldwater, Randy and his wife Artena of Woodstock and the late Tom and his wife Marion HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON of Woodstock. Loving Grandpa of Pamela, Jennifer, Troy, Elizabeth, Jill and Karen and great grandpa of Nivek. Brother of George (Margaret) of Woodstock, Marion SCHNEIDER (the late Willis) of Kitchener and the late Doris BROWN and Norma STYLES. Also remembered by many nieces and nephews. Born in Tyrone, Ireland on September 30, 1914, son of the late William and Elizabeth McCUTCHEON. Beloved husband for over 64 years of Pearl (née CRANE.) Dear father of Margaret BUTLER and her husband Paul of Woodstock and Linda MARTIN and her husband Ron of Hamilton. Sadly missed by his grandchildren, Kevin BUTLER (Lee-Ann) of Woodstock, Kim HARRIS (Chris) of Hamilton and Matt MARTIN (Sherri) of Hamilton, and great grandchildren Genny and Darcey BUTLER and Dylan HARRIS. Of Didsbury, Alberta, suddenly, on Monday, October 31, 2005 in his 61st year. Married to his loving and devoted wife of 37 years Wendy Lorraine VAN VLIET (née CARVER.) Loving father of Elizabeth "Lisa" VAN VLIET and Conrad PEREIRA of Ottawa and John and Rachelle VAN VLIET of Calgary. Cherished grandfather of Grace, John and Analise. Loved brother of Tena and Roger BOIVIN, Leo and Ann VAN VLIET, Nancy OWEN, Jorina and Phil McDOWELL and Janet VAN VLIET. Dear son-in-law of Beverley CARVER and brother-in-law of Sandy and Mike WENIGE, Ann and Peter TORNABUONO and Todd and Sherry CARVER. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews and by his Friends. Predeceased by his parents Leendert VAN VLIET and Johanna BALLAST, his brother Willem "Bill" VAN VLIET and his father-in-law Albert CARVER. Born in Maasland, the Netherlands, on October 13, 1945, George came to Canada in 1951 and settled in the Wainfleet area. He moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta in 1977 and worked at Syncrude for more than 25 years. Since his retirement, George enjoyed visiting with family and with old and new Friends, playing with his grandchildren, working on his many house projects and curling. The funeral service for George was held at Knox United Church in Didsbury on Thursday, November 3rd and internment followed in Didsbury Cemetery. The family greatly appreciates all the expressions of sympathy and support received. In George's memory, donations can be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1825 Park Road S.E. GUNN (née PODGER) for nearly 60 years. Dear father of Nancy TUOVINEN and her husband Roy of Woodstock and Barb SCHRAM and her husband Russell of R.R.#6, Woodstock. Loved grandfather of David (Becky) and Adam. Dear brother of Harold GUNN and his wife Win of London, brother-in-law of Alice GUNN of Woodstock and Stanley PODGER of Scarborough and survived by his niece Cynthia (Jim) and by his nephew Bruce (Tammy) and Jim (Chris). Predeceased by his brother Ross and by his sister Winnifred PERRY. Doug was the oldest surviving member of Knox Presbyterian Church, Woodstock, served in the Canadian Armed Forces with the R.C.R. during World War 2, was a letter carrier with Canada Post for over 30 years and was involved for many years with the Woodstock Navy Vets.
