FISHER,
Edward "
Ted"
Richard
Passed away at home on Sunday, February 6th, 2005, in his 89th
year. Ted was the beloved husband of Donna
THOMAS, and devoted,
loving father to daughter, Alice
FISHER, and son, Don
FISHER,
both of Vancouver; and will be dearly remembered by Don's partner,
Jewel VOTH, and her son, Noah. Predeceased by wife, Marion
FISHER,
sister, Eileen, of Vancouver, and brother, Sydney, of New Zealand.
Ted will be remembered fondly by sister-in-law, Isobel
FISHER,
his niece, Eileen
FISHER, and nephew, Richard
FISHER, as well
as their children, all of New Zealand. Born in London, England,
January 30th, 1917, Ted spent his formative years in Vancouver.
Following the outbreak of World War 2, he volunteered for duty
in the Canadian Army - Westminster Regiment, and saw extensive
front-line service in Italy. At the conclusion of the war, he
returned to Vancouver for a period, later relocating to Montreal
to take a position with then Trans-Canada Airlines. In the early
1950s, Ted
FISHER joined Pepsi-Cola Canada, where, during 30-years
of service, he assumed a succession of management roles in advertising
and marketing services, until his retirement in 1982. With an
overriding passion for the game of golf, Ted has been a long-time,
active member of the Islington Golf Club, in Toronto. His other
special interests included jazz and theatre. Unassuming, and
possessing an eternally optimistic spirit, inexhaustible energy,
and generous nature, Ted

to those who knew him - and one whose counsel and guidance was
truly valued. The family would like to extend their heartfelt
appreciation to Dr. Michael
GITTERMAN,
Dr.
